The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Billy Abbott’s Distress

Y&R spoilers reveal that Billy is starting to hit the bottle again. Billy played right into Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) scheme. ChancComm is being sued by Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), there is an offer on the table and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) has excluded him from a business discussion. Plus, it was teased in Soap Opera Digest that Lily’s new position could create friction in Billy’s relationship.

To top it off, Billy is starting to think that his good intentions always destroy everyone and everything he touches. This includes his own relationship as Lily and Jill are trying to clean up his mess. Then, there is Victor, who gloats to Billy while he’s guzzling his sorrows with alcohol.

Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman-Locke’s Empathy

Even though Victoria was the one that suggested to Ashland they approach ChancComm with an offer, she didn’t realize how down her ex is right now. Victoria did feel bad when she realized that Billy was iced out of ChancComm by his own mother. As Ashland yanked Victoria out of Society, she kept looking back at Billy. It was clear that she felt bad for Billy. However, Ashland wasn’t going to let her stick around to make Billy feel better.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman’s Warning

The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of December 6 reveal that Victor will warn Victoria not to protect Billy again. Victor knows that Victoria has always done that, even after they were divorced. If Victoria is going to go ahead with this deal, then Victor wants to be sure it’s to protect the family business and not out of any loyalty or pity for Billy.

Y&R Spoilers – Mistaking Pity for Love?

With Billy’s relationship on a downward slope and him drinking, Victoria could feel empathy for her ex. Victoria might also think that he’s suffered enough and nobody needs to add anything more to it. However, Ashland gets great joy out of Billy’s misery, as do Victor and Adam.

Co-executive producer and head writer Josh Griffith told SOD that Billy and Lily’s relationship could suffer because of this. That might lead Billy to look for someone familiar that he can trust. Someone that will care, which typically has always been Victoria.

With him adding alcohol to the mix, he could misread signals and might think Victoria still has feelings for him. However, what happens when Victoria pushes him away and reminds him she’s married to Ashland? How will Billy handle Victoria helping him out of pity instead of love? Could it send him spiraling down even further?

I don't think its possible for a character like Billy to maintain a relationship. As much as either Lilly or Victoria might love him his recklessness and ego will make it impossible for any woman to retain a happy life with him. Even his own mother can't keep Billy afloat. If Billy can't accept help and clean his act up for good his only option for a relationship is a woman who enables him like the early trainwreck affair he had with crazy Phyllis, drinking, gambling and embracing his darkness.
