Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) has quickly become the next great love of Victoria’s life. He’s not a rebound from the man Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) refers to as Billy-boy either.
Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) reaction shot reflected the collective raised eyebrows within the audience, as Victor whole-heartedly endorsed the Vashland union. Later the Moustache even agreed to plan the wedding with his soul mate as well.

It will be hard to digest. But if Y&R eventually reveals that Ashland was faking his terminal illness, then Victoria has made the mistake of her life.
Billy will look great, not just good, in comparison to the man who would truly wear the Lockeness Monster title, if that happens. But scenes where Ashland was by himself appear to confirm that he hasn’t been lying. Hopefully that holds true, as that will make the Vashland pairing a feel-good storyline.

So, assume that Victoria has fallen in love and merged Newman Enterprises with the Locke Communications Group. That’s a major double coup that Victor should be and is rightfully proud of.
Y&R Spoilers – Ashland Locke’s Courageous Battle Bolstered
Imagine if Ashland’s overtures toward Victoria were swatted away. He’d be dying of cancer and without his wife, who has been hauled away to prison.
Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) revealed herself as a spouse who broke her vows. She also made Ashland believe that he was Harrison Locke’s (Kellen Enriquez) father, when Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) held that title. Her latest fall has resulted in a prison sentence.
Thankfully for Ashland, he’s been able to pivot to Victoria. She’s an honest person who has come into his life at the right moment.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Vashland To Be A Short-Term Play?
Y&R may be presenting a storyline that’s sad, with Ashland dying months from now. Alternatively, this could become a tale of great success, with Burgi’s character going into remission or receiving the best possible news.
Victoria is the reason why Ashland has agreed to pursue treatment. His reversal of course is centered on a desire to spend more time with Harrison and Victoria.
A short-term play, ending in the fall or winter, would be good drama. But a cancer cure would be great soap.
