Someone like Ashland would have dug into every single corner of Victoria’s life before marrying her. When Victoria told Ashland that he was taking all the big risks while Newman Media reaped the rewards, he acted like he hadn’t thought of that. However, Ashland isn’t clueless. He knows exactly what he’s doing and Victoria is playing right into his hand. By the time Ashland is done, Victoria will have a broken heart and a broken family.
