The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman Opted Out Long Ago

Devoted fans know that Nick opted out of the family business years ago. He often used Victor as the reason for that choice. While that was true, Victoria’s similar personality and sibling rivalry only left room for one golden child at the company.

The above is what Victoria is concerned about now. She does not like Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) diverting her father’s attention from herself, as Nick was perceived to have done years ago.

Yes, Victoria is more like her father than her mother, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). But Adam has been tagged as the harsher chip off his father’s block since TPTB SORAS’d (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) him in 2008 with the recast to Chris Engen (Adam).

Y&R Spoilers – Adam Newman Does Not Want Tension

Adam has quieted his life in recent months. A turning point came when Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) had her stroke.

Victoria’s younger brother held himself responsible for Chelsea’s health crisis. That event served as a major wake-up call, sparking his ongoing redemptive efforts.

Adam took no pleasure in Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) apparent fall. Victor sees that as a mistake, in retrospect.

Victoria’s pitch to her father for Newman Media included exaggerating to her father, where she claimed to have forced Billy to come clean. In truth, she was in the scheme with Billy, who chose to scrap the plan due, in part, to Victoria’s attempt to direct its outcome.

Victor will not be pleased when the assumed reveal happens. Victoria was not honest with her father as part of her attempt to secure Newman Media.

Victoria told Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) that she intends to drop Adam if her father sells the company to Newman-Locke. Victor is no dummy and sees that naked chess move coming. But he is not yet aware of the lengths she will go to stir trouble within the family.

      Victoria isn't a strong sophisticated woman, she is childish, petty and a pathetic, insecure middle-aged baby, always wanting every toy in the nursery, unable to let any of her siblings have anything. Its time Victor demonstrates if having the biggest toy isn't enough, like any responsible parent everything should be taken away until she can learn to let her brothers and sister have something too. She is horrible to Adam but she can't let her other siblings have any of daddys company either, she has to be in charge. Selfishness is not a good look on anyone man or woman. She needs to grow up. Victor needs to take back control of his company.

      Agreed- also I would like to bring up that Reed her oldest son is NEVER mentioned! Not there for the wedding or anything else, what's up with that?? It's like he has been written out of Y&R. I liked him, bring him back they need some new blood!

      Victor needs to find out that Victoria knew about this scheme that Billy was pulling to get Newman-Media. If Victor miss his daughter plotting against him, then he is not as smart as I thought he was. The only part I want to see is when Victor finds out that his daughter was in on Billy and Lilly's scheme. I want to see the expression on his face. He knows his daughter loves Billy and will do anything for him and she always will be on Billy's side. I can wait to see how Nicki and Victor handle this. Especially Miss Nicki, because she thinks Adam is not good enough for her family.
