Heinle’s character wanted to use Nate’s insider information to take control of Chancellor-Winters. That plan failed because Nate felt pressured by Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) to change course. He did so but was unwilling to tell Devon and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) who was colluding with him.

Victoria has no issue with Nate betraying his family. In her mind, which was shaped by the Moustache’s warped view of reality, Newman Enterprises stood to benefit, and that was what mattered.
Heinle’s character also was impressed that Nate refused to give up her name when pressed to do so by Lily and Devon. James’ character offered his cousin a second chance to come clean. But Nate chose to remain dirty.

Y& R Spoilers – Nate Hastings In With The Enemy
Nate did not expect Victoria to offer him a top job after his semi-reveal caused the initial public offering scheme to flop. But she did, after throwing an innocent Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) out of her job.
Innocence is not a noun viewers would associate with Hope’s character. But it is apt in this instance, as Victoria fired Sally without cause and did not even have the guts to do so herself, allowing Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to deliver the blow.
Nate was handed a plum spot at CW because he was family. Qualifications were non-existent. The same is true at Newman Media, where Victoria is giving him the job because he is a family friend rather than selecting the best candidate based on earned experience.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Tucker McCall Benefits Greatly?
Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) told his CW mole, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), that Devon and he are the only legitimate heirs who should be running Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) company. While Tucker is also devious, he is sincere in wanting to restore Chancellor to his family.
It has become possible that Devon is being pushed into a scenario where he may feel it best to partner with his biological father. If Tucker can keep the Audra angle covered, Devon will not be wise to his dad’s duplicity.
CW may still go public. But even if that does not happen, Nate’s relinquished shares of stock, combined with Devon’s, could lead to a Tucker-Devon controlled company on Y&R.
