The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that in Thursday’s episode, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) reacted to Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) death. Victoria asked Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) if she was speeding and seemed to be finding reasons it was her fault. Rey’s death, along with the shame of being swindled, could be too much.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Humiliated And Heartbroken
Y&R spoilers reveal that Victoria managed to get revenge on Ashland. At the same time, she got her marriage annulled while protecting the company. After Ashland signed the papers and received $500 million, Victoria told him the truth. Victoria wanted Ashland to know what it felt like to be betrayed in such a terrible way.
While driving, Victoria cried over everything that happened with Ashland. Victoria told Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that she really loved Ashland. Victoria insisted that nothing would get better, and nothing would ever be the same.
Y&R Spoilers – Shame Over Business And Men
Victoria’s humiliation wasn’t just about being duped by Ashland, though. Victoria knows what high standards Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has for his children. Victoria tried to live up to those expectations and even exceed them.
Victoria did a lot of terrible and shameless things in her rise to the top. The saying, “the faster they rise, the harder they fall” completely applies to Victoria right now. Victoria kept saying how could she let this happen.
Then, there was the pain of Victoria admitting she makes terrible choices in relationships. Victoria just wanted to be loved and thought she finally found her Prince Charming. Victoria’s mind started going over all her bad choices in men and asked Nikki what was wrong with her. So, there is all that guilt, shame, pain, and humiliation before the car accident. So, let’s go over Victoria’s state of mind after the crash.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Guilt Over Rey Rosales’ Death
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Ashland told Victoria that Rey was one of the other drivers, but he didn’t survive. At first, Victoria was in denial and thought Ashland was mistaken.
However, once Victor and Nikki confirmed Rey’s death to Victoria, her mind spiraled even further. Victoria kept insisting she had to go and make this right. Then, she completely broke down saying it was all her fault.

Y&R Spoilers – Suicide Attempt?
It is teased that during the week of April 25, Victoria will try to adjust to her new normal. However, that might be easier said than done. Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) might blame Victoria, who is already consumed with guilt.
If Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) also insinuate that Rey’s death is Victoria’s fault, then it could send her over the edge. Could it all be too much for Victoria to take? Could she contemplate taking her own life?

Not if it involves Victoria, but we won';t be that lucky.
I don't believe even soaps should hide from the realities of life, especially current topics and issues. These topics even in soaps can be a learning opportunity, however they must be written very skillfully and with extreme care. Having just watched the recent mess with the baby Dom surrogate story my question would be more is this writing team skillful and professional enough to handle delicate topics not that they should not be done.
Yes, I think a suicide too dark enough of that in the real world. The blame sounds like Ashland… Rey swerved, was ok then Victoria went off road. If Ashland wasn't following Victoria then Rey would be alive.
Maybe not Victoria ….
I hate this story line
No I don't believe so is so important for people to understand how depression and guilt can take ahold of one's emotions and shock trauma can effect one I have always admired the way and good taste that Y&R has always put different awareness issues in there show for the public.
Sadly, suicide is also part of the realities of life (and death)… but Victoria has a strong family unity and I know she and Billy will be back together in time… I saw that coming a while ago…
I think Victoria need some counseling. She wants to be like her father, who can be very cold to people when he doesn't get his way. Victoria loves Billy Boy Abbott, but she can't control him like she wants to. She is such a control freak with no personality. She thinks she belongs on top and everybody else especially Adam is beneath her. Maybe she should a suicide storyline where her brother, Adam, save her butt. Victoria needs to learn how to be a professional, strong, business woman, not a woman with an agenda to hurt those that try to help her. She needs to learn how to be a team player.
The Victoria story has become a mess. We are presented with this professional woman on the cusp of 50 and yet the story has been written like she is a teenager with a family hovering and behaving like she's Faith in her first relationship. Someone remind these writers she's been a multiple married, hard faced and selfish bitch to all her siblings for her control of Newman. Now we're being told she's a damsel in distress, a vulnerable broken woman but in the same breath everyone's running around saying how strong she is! Writers make up your mind where this is going! Do you want fans to pity Victoria for her vulnerability, hate her for her spiteful personality, think she's an adolescent in her first relationship or a strong capable woman, make up your minds because this story is all over the place and not very well written. Its became muddled mess of contradictions. Its dragging on with numerous characters involved in this story repeating the same conversations over and over again. We have watched week after week now of the same office scenes about what to do about Ashland and Victoria or Victoria and Asland dancing around their dysfunctional relationship. A good writer could have made this story entertaining by simply cutting it in half and moving on to something else. These writers sure know how to present a boring story.
They have always kept storylines current and unfortunately suicide is too real these days
I agree with you Jezz. The writers need to beef up this storyline with Victoria needing AND getting some type of counseling so she can figure out who she really is. The Ice Princess needs to THAW or maybe MELT INTO WATER. She has too much hate for Adam that she can't stand to be in the same room with him, she wants to be the Top Dog in Charge and Adam is in her way. She needs to learn about family love that she doesn't have for her family. Nick loves her but, she treats him like an outsider unless she needs to have her butt saved for something. She is too DAMN CONTROLLING, and it needs to STOP. I would love to see her have another accident this time with Billy Boy Abbott. He needs to feel guilty about the way he treats Adam and for not taking part of the blame for his daughter, Deliah, death. Billy Boy was just as much at fault as whoever hit Deliah. I still don't believe it was Adam. I hope the Newman family can have a Merry Christmas with LOVE this year. So if the Ice Princess can BE THAWED by then, let get the storyline going.
