The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be upset when he finds out about the merger. However, co-executive producer and head writer Josh Griffith said that the anger will turn to admiration. It turns out Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) merger will end up being an incredibly valuable move for Newman Enterprises.

Y&R spoilers reveal that Victoria was handed the reins to Newman Enterprises because her father felt she was capable. Even though he wouldn’t always admit it, father and daughter are a lot alike, too. So, Victor probably rested easy as he predicted she would make a lot of the same decisions that he would.

However, for a man like Victor, being kept out of the loop means he doesn’t have full control. That is difficult for Victor when he finds out about Victor and Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) merger.

Even though there was speculation that the merger would end in a hostile takeover, that doesn’t appear to be the case. Griffith spoke to Soap Opera Digest about the storyline and teased that the merger would be valuable for Newman Enterprises down the road. He also explained that Victor would realize that Victoria actually made a smart move by suggesting the merger with Ashland.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victor not only will not be upset about the merger in the end. He will have admiration for Victoria. Griffith explained to the magazine,

“Over time, he [Victor] will see how valuable this union can be for Newman Enterprises. More importantly, he will develop a new and ever-stronger admiration for what Victoria is accomplishing.”

Ashland and Victoria won’t just be making headlines with their business merger. Ashland will confirm to the public that he has been diagnosed with cancer after a leaked video ends up online. There will also be Ashland and Victoria going public with their relationship. In fact, Victoria talks to her love interest about how life will be for them as a power couple.

Then, she makes another move to get even closer to Ashland. She invites him to move in with her. However, it is teased that Ashland’s secrets from the past will surface and some of those might have been better off staying in the dark. Will those secrets make Victoria reconsider her relationship? It’s hard to say and it really depends on what those secrets turn out to be. We will have to keep watching to find out what happens with Victoria and Ashland.
