The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victor’s Ultimatum for Victoria – Change Behavior or Be Fired as Newman CEO

The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that in Genoa City, Wisconsin Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will give his daughter Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) an ultimatum in an upcoming episode of The Young and The Restless. Tough love ramps up as he threatens to fire her as Newman CEO!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victoria Newman Has Become A Cutthroat Rivaling Her Father Back In The Day

Longtime viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Victor was a force to be reckoned with back in the day. He still is, but he has mellowed over the years and no longer puts success ahead of friendships. Years ago, he and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) were bitter business rivals bordering on being each other’s worst enemies. Now, Victor and Jack are friends. There was a time when Victor sometimes even worked against his own family members, and faked his death more than once – like Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has more recently.

But Victoria is quickly becoming worse than Victor was in his younger years, and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has seen it, and does not like the trend. As many mothers handle things with their small children when their fathers are at work and there is gross misbehavior, Nikki has taken a “wait till your father gets home” stance against Victoria!

Just because she is a grown woman with children of her own, it doesn’t mean that her parents are no longer her parents, and Victor especially demands the respect of his children not only towards him, but towards their mother (or mothers, as the case may be with his younger ones). Nikki has thought maybe Victoria was overworking and tried to get her to take a vacation, but her daughter refused her advice and has only gotten more controlling and less caring and respectful towards others!

Y&R Spoilers – Victor Newman Must Take Control Of His Daughter If She Will Not

After hearing from Nikki about how Victoria has been behaving, and also hearing through the family grapevine about how she even schemed against her own father if he wouldn’t disown Adam, Victor realizes he must take control! Victor doesn’t like this trend any more than Nikki does and he rapidly comes to the conclusion that she must be taken down a notch off her high horse, because she is making the same mistakes as he did as a younger man. Victoria is letting the power of the position go to her head, making her believe she is invincible, whether she is conscious of it or not.

This is a very dangerous position for the head of a company. When people believe they can do no wrong and every decision is right, no longer meeting with the board or her co-leader, in this case her mother and making unilateral decisions it can put the company itself in danger. If this extreme control trip she is on is because of stress and feeling out of control in other parts of her life, she needs to deal with this in a more constructive manner. Victor taught Victoria to box – but she is not employing the punching bag to take out her frustrations on, she’s using others for punching bags emotionally.

Victor again meets with Victoria in the CEO office, where she again is surprised by her father sitting in the CEO chair and he speaks to her about her behavior and about her tone. He gives her an ultimatum; he is still in charge and if she doesn’t mitigate her behavior in a proper manner, he can take power back in the company and fire her as CEO as quickly as he hired her!
