The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) doesn’t appear to be guilty, but the evidence continues to mount that makes him look like the Genoa City, Wisconsin shooter. With his feelings well known and with the information that continues to be gathered, Billy’s arrest for taking a shot at Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and hitting Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) isn’t surprising.
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) faces a challenge in defending Billy, as his alibi isn’t strong. As Amanda and the viewers believe, he’s innocent. So, the task of proving that unfolds.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Who Is Framing Billy Abbott?
Adam would seem like the most likely person to be framing Billy. Faking his own hit attempt and then trying to pin that crime on Thompson’s character would fit a revenge pattern.
Earlier this year Adam used Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) to investigate an old crime that occurred in Kansas. She initially discovered that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) seemed to be responsible for her father’s death, rather than A.J. Montalvo (Marcus DeAnda) having died after a barn fall.
But a deeper dive revealed that Adam (Dane West portraying the eleven-year-old version of this character) pushed A.J. in defense of his mother, Hope Wilson (Maggie Gwin portraying the younger version of this character). So, that seems to indicate that Alyssa is the more likely shooting suspect.
Y&R Spoilers – Y&R Fans Are Sharp
Alyssa left town a number of months ago and hasn’t been seen since. Combine the lack of a proper departure and what’s developed within the last handful of weeks.
Y&R fans know that Chance (as temporarily played by Justin Gaston) couldn’t have rapidly recovered from the shooting in order to participate in his wedding and then have jetted off to an island. But that’s making use of the suspension of disbelief technique. Employing logic, they know that Billy can’t be guilty of this crime. He’s a main character and would be facing years of jail time.
So, aside character with a legitimate grudge against Adam has to be the perpetrator of this attempted murder.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Big Breakthrough Is Needed
As it stands now, Billy will be convicted. He could be sent to prison before Christmas, which would make for a very dramatic storyline.
However, a big breakthrough can happen at any time. So fans should expect Alyssa, or whoever the real shooter is, to become overconfident and make a mistake in the near future.
