The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, July 29 – Cassie’s Death Rocks Newman Family – Mac Gives JT Another Chance – The Press Hounds Daniel

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, July 29, tease that viewers will see an encore episode of Y&R that originally aired on May 24, 2005. In the episode, Mackenzie “Mac” Browning (Rachel Kimsey) will tell JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) that she feels bad about earlier and that she’s going to give him another chance. Mac will say that she’s going to move back into the loft with him. JT will be thrilled that Mac is back, and he’ll welcome her home as they hug.

At Crimson Lights, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will tell Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) that he needs to trust Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell). Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will be present, too, to hear this conversation. Phyllis will tell Daniel that he needs to stop sneaking around to see Lily, and she’ll allow Lily and Daniel to have a final goodbye on the patio.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will join Phyllis, who will tell him that she’s waiting for Daniel. Jack will notice that Phyllis is antsy, and she’ll tell him that she’s worried about losing her job. Jack will remind Phyllis that she’s been through far worse things and that she will survive this, too.

Malcolm Winters Makes Lily Winters Promise To Stay In Genoa City

Meanwhile, Lily and Daniel will talk on the patio. Lily will tell Daniel that perhaps hiding out on the Abbott property isn’t what’s best after all. Daniel will still want to hide out there as they had planned. Lily will say that she’ll support Daniel. Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) will then arrive on the patio, and Daniel will take off. Malcolm will sit down with Lily for a talk.

Malcolm will ask what’s going on with Lily and Daniel, and he’ll suspect that Daniel might be about to go on the run. Malcolm will want Lily to say that she’s not going to go with Daniel. Lily will say that she won’t, but she’ll tell Malcolm that Daniel needs someone. Lily will again promise Malcolm that she’s not going to leave town. Malcolm will then tell Lily that he’ll give her a ride home.

At the Abbott mansion, the media will be waiting for Daniel and they’ll pounce when Daniel arrives. Jack will make the press leave the property immediately.

The Newman Family Gathers For Cassie Newman’s Final Moments

Next on Y&R, at the hospital, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will take Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) hand and apply cold compresses to try to reduce Cassie’s fever. Noah Newman (Hunter Allan) will be on hand and sobbing. The Newman family will be at Cassie’s bedside, and Sharon will tell Cassie that her Grandma Doris Collins (Karen Hensel) is there, too. Cassie will tell Doris that she’s glad she’s there.

Cassie will ask for Noah, and she’ll proceed to tell him that she loves him and that he’s the best. Noah will say that he loves Cassie, and Cassie will say that she’ll be Noah’s guardian angel and she’ll always look out for him. Cassie and Noah will clasp hands. The entire Newman family will be very emotional, as Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) looks away sadly and Doris kisses her rosary.

A short time later, Victor will step out of the room and confer with Olivia Winters (Tonya Lee Williams). Victor will ask when the specialists will arrive, but Olivia will say that due to the fog, their plane is circling.

Cassie Newman Says Her Final Goodbyes

Next on Y&R, in Cassie’s room, she’ll talk with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and ask Victoria to take care of Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Victoria will tell Cassie that they’ll all take care of Nick. Sharon will notice that Cassie’s temperature is rising, and she’ll apply more ice. Cassie will ask for Victor, who will talk with Cassie about the time she, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and he went horseback riding.

Cassie will remember a present that Victor and Nikki gave her – a star. Soon, Olivia will arrive to make sure that Cassie isn’t in pain. Victor and Olivia will step out of the room together, and Olivia will say that the specialists have arrived, but that Cassie’s infection has worsened and that she’s not responding to the antibiotics. Olivia will suggest that Cassie spend some time alone with her parents.

Victor will return to Cassie’s room, and it will be just Nick, Sharon, Victor, and Nikki with Cassie. Nikki will tell Cassie that she’ll always be her shining star. Cassie will say that she loves Victor and Nikki. Victor will hug Sharon and Nikki and Victor will leave the room. Cassie will note that it’s just the three of them now.

Sharon Newman & Nick Newman Tell Their Daughter Goodbye

Sharon and Nick will spend their final moments with Cassie, as Sharon asks Cassie to hold on. Sharon will reminisce about Cassie’s life over the years, and Nick will recall when Cassie first came into his life. Nick will say that he’s cherished every moment. Cassie will tell Sharon that someday she’ll have another little girl, and Sharon will say that Cassie’s her little girl and that she’s brought her joy.

Cassie will whisper something to Nick, and it will be something that surprises him. Cassie will tell Nick and Sharon that she’s tired and needs to sleep. Nick will start singing a lullaby to her, but he’ll start sobbing and won’t be able to finish the lullaby. Sharon and Nick will sob as viewers see a montage of Cassie’s life. Finally, on Wednesday’s encore episode of Y&R, Cassie’s heart monitor will flatline.
