The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, September 9, tease that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will return to Chancellor Communications from an out-of-town conference. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will wonder how the conference was, and Lily will say that she met some fantastic people there. Lily will say that she’s more determined than ever to put together a diverse team at the company, and Billy will say that they seem to be a great example of that diversity.

Lily will explain that she and Billy need to have a talk, and that that as a company they need to do better and work harder to go find diverse voices. Lily will suggest finding people on different paths and who deserve a wider audience. Billy will admit that he understands, and that he knows that he has a lot to learn. Billy will acknowledge his privilege and he’ll note that he witnessed it firsthand after Hurricane Katrina.

Billy will want to be an ally, and Lily will think that it’s a process and that together, they can make a difference in this area. Billy will say that he’s glad that Lily is in a position to promote a diversity effort, and Lily will acknowledge that she can never forget, but that she knows that she has her own privilege, too. Lily and Billy will be happy about forging this path together.

Y&R Spoilers: Alyssa Montalvo Reveals That She Knows The Truth About Adam Newman

Next on Y&R, over at Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) penthouse, Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) will show up looking for Adam. Chelsea will say that Adam is on a business trip, and she’ll lie and say that Adam’s still not himself after learning that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) killed Alyssa’s father.

Alyssa will listen, but she’ll clearly say that she’s not going to leave the past in the past, and she’ll blast Chelsea for being a con artist, just like Adam. Eventually, Alyssa will reveal that she knows all about Adam’s plan to use her to become CEO of Newman Enterprises, and she’ll think that it’s horrible that he used her grief and shame to manipulate her.

Then Alyssa will say that she knows that Adam killed her father, and that soon the whole world will know the story. Chelsea will say that Adam’s missing, and that Alyssa should think about what her actions could do to Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Alyssa won’t fall for the guilt trip, so then Chelsea will threaten Alyssa with the nondisclosure agreement she signed.

Young And The Restless Spoilers: Alyssa Montalvo Says That Adam Newman’s Crimes Will Be Exposed

Alyssa won’t be deterred, and she’ll get especially agitated when Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) shows up at the penthouse. Alyssa will say that Chance and Chelsea have obviously been talking, so Chelsea must know that she’s looking into what happened in Las Vegas. Chelsea will order Alyssa out of the penthouse, and Alyssa will vow that Adam’s crimes will be exposed.

After Alyssa leaves, Chance will ask what happened and what Alyssa knows, but Chelsea won’t want to talk about it. Instead, Chelsea will press Chance to tell her if he found Adam. Chance will look torn about whether to tell Chelsea what he found.

Young And The Restless Spoilers: Sharon Newman Faces Terrible News About Her Cancer

Next on Y&R, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will discuss her pathology report as Sharon pulls herself together. As it turns out, Sharon’s cancer will have spread to her lymph nodes, and Sharon will understandably have trouble processing the reality of the situation. Rey will do his best to support Sharon.

Sharon will say that there was some talk about reconstructive surgery at the doctor’s office, and Rey will think it’s best to take one step at a time. Sharon will feel like she fought so hard and put in so much effort, only to have her cancer spread. But Sharon will note that it’s not the worst- case scenario, and together Rey and Sharon will vow to deal with this head-on.

Y&R Spoilers: Phyllis Summers Scores A Big Victory Over Abby Newman

Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) will meet at Society ahead of their dinner date with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Phyllis will be a little late, after talking with someone on the phone about some big deal. Soon, Phyllis will arrive at Society, and she’ll see Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and announce that she raised enough money to buy Abby out at the Grand Phoenix.

Abby will be stunned, and Phyllis will walk over to the table to join Summer and Nick. Phyllis will wonder if Nick has heard anything about Sharon’s doctor visit. Nick will say that he hasn’t heard anything yet. Phyllis will share the news about her Grand Phoenix buyout, and Nick will be thrilled for her. Nick will then get a text from Rey, and his demeanor will change.

Young And The Restless Spoilers: Rey Rosales Spreads The Word About Sharon Newman’s Troubling Pathology Report

Next on Y&R, at Sharon’s place, Rey will tell Sharon that he sent Nick and everyone else a text relaying that the news from the doctor was a mixed bag and that Sharon wanted to rest tonight. Rey will think that Sharon needs a little time to rest and absorb the information from her doctor.

Back at Society, Nick will tell Phyllis about Rey’s text, and he’ll guess that the doctor visit didn’t go well. Phyllis will hope that Nick is wrong, and Nick will leave to go be with Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind). Summer will then learn the bad news about Sharon.

Young And The Restless Spoilers: Sharon Newman Reaches Out To Adam Newman Once Again

Finally, on Wednesday’s new episode of Y&R, Sharon will eat and start to feel better. While Rey is off getting Sharon some dessert from the kitchen, Sharon will text Adam saying that she’s sorry about how they left things earlier, and that she won’t abandon him.
