The Young and the Restless Spoilers Week of May 18: Story Of The Winters Family - Neil & Malcolm’s Debuts On Y&R - Devon Stuck In Lion’s Den

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of May 18-22, tease that viewers are in for a treat as the CBS soap continues showing special encore episodes. As you might know, the network has run out of original episodes due to the coronavirus shutdown, so it is giving viewers special “theme weeks” of encore episodes. During the week of May 18-22, viewers will see Y&R episodes that tell the story of the Winters family.

The episodes will include the first appearances on the show of Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) and Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore), with episodes dating back to the early 1990s. In addition, the episodes will focus on Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), Olivia Barber (Tonya Lee Williams), and Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell). It should be a great week as Y&R looks back on this iconic family.

Neil Winters Begins His Career At Jabot

On Monday, May 18th, viewers will see an episode that originally aired on February 13, 1991. In the episode, Drucilla will cross paths with Neil, who has just been hired at Jabot. In addition, Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) will get upsetting news about Brock Reynolds (Beau Kazer), and Olivia and Nathan Hastings (Nathan Purdee) will clash.

Malcolm Winters Arrives In Genoa City

On Tuesday, May 19th, viewers will see an episode that originally aired on May 6, 1994. In the episode, Malcolm will show up in Genoa City to see his estranged brother Neil. In addition, Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) will have an uphill battle in court, and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will try to help Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman).

Devon Hamilton Has A Frightening Experience At The Zoo

On Wednesday, May 20th, viewers will see an episode that originally aired on February 9, 2005. In the episode, the Winters family and a zoo guard will find Devon frozen in fear in the lion’s cage. Malcolm will spring into action, going into the cage and placing himself in between the lion and Devon. Devon will be unable to back away from the lion due to his fear, and so Neil will jump in the cage and slowly get Devon back to safety.

Malcolm will remain in the lion’s cage, but he’ll eventually get out. Later, Devon will thank Neil and Malcom for rescuing him, and he’ll apologize for putting them all in danger. Drucilla will tell Devon that they’ll discuss it later. Outside the zoo, Lily and Devon will get the car, while Malcolm and Neil start joking around with each other. Suddenly, Lily will lose control of the car and hit Neil, throwing him into the snow.

In addition, Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will be mum when Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) enquires about how his therapy session went, but he will say that it was a positive experience and he looks forward to going again. Michael will find himself unnerved by Kevin’s newfound attitude and his upbeat tone when talking about therapy.

Neil Winters Searches For Lily Winters & Daniel Romalotti In Los Angeles

On Thursday, May 21st, viewers will see an episode that originally aired on June 29, 2005. In the episode, Lily and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will be in Los Angeles, having fled Genoa City. Daniel will think that Lily should call her parents and get money for a ticket home immediately, but Lily will think that this would tip off everyone as to Daniel’s location. Lily will think that they should get jobs so she could save money for a plane ticket.

Meanwhile, Neil, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will look for Lily and Daniel in Los Angeles. Phyllis and Nick will go to the beach to search for Lily and Daniel, and they’ll get a lead when a waiter at a cafe recognizes photos of Lily and Daniel. Meanwhile, Neil will find his own evidence that the teens are in Los Angeles.

And back in Genoa City at Crimson Lights, Malcolm will get the runaround from Drucilla about where Neil is or whether he is having any luck finding Lily and Daniel. Malcolm will then run into Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), who will be upset about Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) death. Malcolm will comfort Sharon and tell her that she’s not alone.

Devon Hamilton Is Adopted By The Winters Family

On Friday, May 22, viewers will see an episode that originally aired on December 7, 2006. In the episode, the Winters family will get a call from Michael saying that they can come to court and meet with the judge regarding their adoption of Devon. Neil, Drucilla, and Devon will head to court, and the judge will talk with Devon about how his biological parents would feel about him being adopted by the Winters family.

Devon will say that his biological mother is back on drugs, but that she loves him and would want him to be adopted. Devon will also say that he already considers Drucilla and Neil to be his parents. Ultimately, the judge will find that the adoption can go through, and the family will head out for a celebration.

Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will have Gloria Abbott (Judith Chapman) served with a restraining order so that she can’t go on a television show representing the Abbott name. This will come after Jack and Ashley do their best to talk Gloria out of appearing on the show…but Gloria refuses.

It certainly sounds like Y&R viewers are in for a great week of exciting and historic episodes about the Winters family. You won’t want to miss any of these special Y&R episodes. If you’re a long-time viewer, then you’ll be able to relive some great scenes. And if you’re a newer Y&R viewer, perhaps you’ll get a chance to see some of the history of the show. Either way, it should be a great week!
