The Young and the Restless spoilers show that no matter what Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) does in this life, he can not seem to get anything right according to the perfect citizens of Genoa City! The hypocrisy of the city is astounding and it is hard to imagine anyone being able to talk from their soap box.
This is the case for Adam his entire life. Never given the benefit of the doubt, is constantly chastised for everything he does, and has been the Newman punching bag since he came into the picture. While we have just been rolling with the punches and watching him suffer, many fans are tired of the black sheep treatment and want to see Adam succeed.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Why The Adam Newman Hate?
So, what is it about Adam that makes people hate him so much? Don’t even start with the “he did this and that” routine. We all know that everyone in Genoa City has murdered, pillaged, and robbed their way to the top, yet when Adam took part in it he was suddenly painted as the bad guy and ridiculed for it.
There is nothing that Adam has done that the other residents in Genoa City have not. In fact, over the last year, he’s really transformed who he is and has been fighting tooth and nail to stay on the straight and narrow, even finding the perfect partner in Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) along the way. He’s donated a kidney, helped his family, and tried to reconcile with his father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), all of which has played second fiddle to whatever else is going on.
Y&R Spoilers – Fans Are Starting To Revolt
The viewers are tired of it and they are beginning to speak up about this unfair treatment of Adam. Now, in nearly every YouTube video and Instagram post from The Young and the Restless, you can find viewers defending Adam, begging the writers to put him back with Sally and make it so he stops catching so much crap.

It is going to take more than a few fans reacting on social media though, and if we’re going to make a difference we really need to be loud enough that they can hear us! Adam Newman deserves better!

Oh please. The character of Adam is deceitful and scheming. You blew it when you didn’t get him back with Chelsea. He needs to go back to Vegas
I would love to see Adam back with Sally and not being a villain. Let his family treat him like family.
They have to have something to build up his character on Not sure what but writers work on it!
My vote is for Adam and Sally
Adam needs to take over for Victor and get this soap into the new Century. He is the only character on this show that has the smarts and devious behavior to keep this soap on the air. The old has beens were nice but time for them to move over and let the young blood take over. Please take this opinion seriously. Thanks
I think Adam has had a rough time and Victoria sure as heck needs to be
knocked off her high horse.
Adam has been targeted by his family for far too long. Nicki the stripper acts like
she is such a diva and treats Adam like he is beneath her and the family
Smarten up writers we are sick of the same old crap you are dishing out lately.
BORING
Adam has all the ingredients to make the successful love to hate character. Probably much like it seems Victor probably was back in the day, when he was much younger and better written. I am too young to have seen some of the stories but from episode flashbacks thats what I glean from his character. A great character is a good mixture of both good and bad, just when you think they are horrid they do something wonderful like save a woman struggling with bipolar, when the the town has just washed their hands of her, or they give a child kidney. Adam hasn’t done half the despicable things Victor has done but still gets a worse wrap for his misdemeanors. He didn’t intentionally kill Delia, he only found out he could have caused the accident when Connor was receiving her eye transplants and he was afraid to come forward in case it would deny Connor the chance of mending his sight. He hasn’t deliberately brought a murder to town and placed them amongst his family for example. I would love for Adam to be a cleverly written lead character both good and a little bad, make him the GC business rock star he should be with a slew of beautiful ladies coming in an out of his life, like James Bond. The love of his life should be the one that got away like Sharon or Chelsea. Sally doesn’t cut it for me as “The One” because that ship sailed with the Chelsea and Sharon story.
Adam needs to prevail!!
I love Adam. He is my favorite character on young and restless. The whole town has dirty baggage and is no better than Adam. How could Sally sleep with Nick, of all people. Adam deserves better, please stop treating him like the scum of the earth.
I love Adam. He tries to do the right thing, but he never have the chance to prove it. The entire city is corrupt, but they only see Adam as the villain. Knock down Nate and Victoria. How can Chloe be Mrs. righteous and give hateful advice? It just moves in a circle of jumping in the bed with everyone. Wise up, and win some recognition.
