The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), which has now been revealed as a pseudonym, decided to come clean to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). That was the precursor to a second reveal, where Ashland told members of his fiance’s family and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about his rough childhood.
Cynics, like Billy, do not feel compassion for Ashland. Instead, he wonders why that specific information was dropped now and what it was intended to cover?
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victoria Newman Overwhelmed By Love
Victoria fell in love with Ashland shortly after they first got to know each other. He was taken by her while still part of Tashland. Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) arrest and the divorce he initiated opened the door to a relationship with Victoria.
Persistent rumors of Ashland’s past have dogged Vashland since it formed. Billy and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) suspected something was off where Ashland was concerned. Both men care about Victoria, though neither will agree that they are on the same side in her defense.
It turns out that Billy and Victor might be right to a certain degree. The accuracy of their target hit is yet to be determined.
Y&R Spoilers – It Is A Small Soap World
Upon hearing Ashland’s backstory, Victoria loves him even more. Ashland also clearly sees Victoria as a splendid woman.
Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing was originally a major motion picture in 1955. It starred William Holden, Jennifer Jones, and Torin Thatcher. It earned three Oscar Awards and was nominated for others, including Best Picture and Best Actress in a Leading Role (Jones).
This classic flick was adapted into a soap opera, debuting in September 1967. Irna Phillips, who is credited as the leading developer of the daytime drama format in the United States, was LIMST’s first head writer. Numerous daytime, nighttime, and movie stars were part of that soap’s cast.
John Conboy produced the show for several years, leaving in 1973 when it was canceled. He became Y&R’s Executive Producer when it debuted during the same year.
Conboy became Capitol’s Executive Producer in 1982. That soap lasted through 1987 when it was replaced by The Bold and the Beautiful.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – No Need For A Cliffhanger?
A week-ending cliffhanger, that begins to be resolved at the start of the next week, is a soap staple. But Ashland’s voluntary reveal about his childhood explains why he has no birth record and his parent’s death records could not be located. So maybe there will be no need for a suspense-filled pair of episodes?
Ashland claims to have lived with an abusive father and mother who buried her head in the urban sand, as they did not live in the suburbs. He left his home as a teenager and eventually found work at a small television station, worked his way up, and eventually bought that outlet and another from the owner, who was apparently his mentor.

But Billy has been asking where Ashland got the money for those purchases. Victor finds that missing piece of evidence to be a plot hole as well.
Victoria is still shrugging off their suspicions because she intends to live a splendid life with Ashland for however much time he has left. Of course, she assumes he is actually dying.
