According to Soap Opera Digest, actor Peter Berman, who plays Jack on the hit CBS soap, was asked about Jack’s future. It seemed like he knows but is not really willing to give out any juicy spoilers. The handsome actor said, “Not too far. I still like to be surprised.

I never want to know what’s really coming next for Jack. That’s always been my way. I like getting to my dressing room, opening my computer and seeing that another script has just been released. I take a look and usually go, ‘Oh, my God!’ because I’m still regularly surprised and I like that.”

Back in May, Peter was also asked about Jack’s family drama. Peter made it no secret that he’s happy to see his character in the spotlight again. When asked how he felt about getting “meaty material” in the scripts, Peter said, “Actually, getting my own story has never been my feeling. I have been involved in other people’s stories, which I thoroughly enjoy, but my way of thinking has always been, ‘When are we going to re-establish the Abbott family?’ Jack has been wandering around that house for a long time by himself with the occasional visit from Billy. I am more thrilled to see the Abbotts back in the forefront because of this story.”

In March, Jack explored his complicated feelings over Keemo’s passing. Peter opened up about Jack and Keemo’s deteriorating bond by saying, “And as it turns out, Jack was essentially ignoring the problem that had arisen between them. Now, he has to pay the ugliest of prices.”

Peter also said at the time, “Jack’s next step is to begin looking into the life that Keemo had. And what he finds is a surprise. And then, following the surprise, what comes next is going to shock the audience! Giant things are at stake. And I had fun! How many people who’ve been doing this for 42 years get to say that?”

Now, as far as what’s next for the character remains to be seen.
