Claire was born in 1998, the daughter of Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck). Sadly, they thought that their baby died shortly after she was born. That was a lie and in fact Jordan (Colleen Zenk) stole her and raised her to hate the Newman’s. Unfortunately Claire’s early life was all a lie.

Decades later Jordan and Claire came to town to ruin the Newmans. Claire got a job at NE and began plotting away. Soon after, Claire lured Nikki to an Oregon beach house where Jordan was lying in wait.
At the house, Claire gave Nikki drugged tea and she woke up to find herself connected to a vodka IV, thus sabotaging her sobriety. Eventually Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) were similarly lured and tortured.
Claire told Victoria and Cole her real identity and denounced them for abandoning her. Imagine her shock to be told that Jordan stole her from the hospital after her birth!

Y&R spoilers – Is Claire Grace Going Bad?
Eventually Claire and the Newmans made up and she is now happily ensconced at the ranch. Or is she?
Jordan abducted Claire a second time, along with Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell). Claire came out victorious, and is having a grand romance with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Her fairy tale seems to be coming true.

Fast forward to the present day and this week Claire and her family learned that it was Ian Ward (Ray Wise) who got Jordan out of prison.
