Even though the two seem to be on okay terms, it’s not what it was. Will their friendship ever be the same after the custody battle? Bryton responded to that question.

Y&R spoilers reveal that immediately after marrying Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), Abby wanted a baby. Unable to carry a baby of her own and Chance having a low sperm count, “Chabby” decided on surrogacy. Devon and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) agreed to help the couple achieve their dream of becoming parents. However, the surrogacy was full of drama.
Y&R Spoilers – Custody Battle
Most of the drama surrounded Mariah and Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan). So, fans were surprised when Devon ended up being the one to pursue custody, not Mariah. Devon and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) justified the custody battle. Even Chance seemed to be okay with it. However, even though Abby eventually agreed, she still considers Devon a threat.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Abby is trying really hard to accept the shared custody agreement. Abby and Devon seemed to make a breakthrough when everyone spent the night together while Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) had his bone marrow procedure.
Just because Abby welcomed Devon to stay doesn’t mean she fully trusts her friend again, though. It is progress but the friendship still seems strained.
Y&R Spoilers – Bryton James on Friendship
Many fans are wondering if Abby and Devon will get their friendship back to the level it was on. Bryton discussed this with Soap Opera Digest. The actor explained,
“I think so. It may take a while for Abby not to view Devon as a threat to her family, but once she gets there, they should be fine.”

It is teased that Devon will act to put Dominic’s best interests first. However, there is no clue of what that exactly means. Chance is already getting help and meets with Dr. Huffman (Jeremiah Jahi). Dominic seems to be recovering and doing well following his bone marrow procedure. So, we will have to see what the next phase of this storyline entails.

Devon needs to back off, He wants to be more and more involved in Dominic life. Now after Dominic bone marrow transplant Devon want Dominic to spend more time at his place not just one night it is wrong and it won't sit well with Abby. Devon needs to respect the boundaries period no ifs, ands or buts. And Amanda needs to stop encouraging it.
Totally agree with Angela: Devon needs to BACK OFF and Amands needs to SHUT UP and mind her own business and I dont care how much she love Devon Dom is NONE OF HER BUSINESS!!!!! Devon is CLEARLY OVER STEPPING THE LINE!!!
At this Rate Abby will NEVER BE ABLE TO TRUST DEVON – HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ANYONE BUT HIMSELF!!!
I think that Devon needs to be satisfied with the visitation that he has. He's getting to be to greedy with wanting more visitation. Chance is never going to learn to bond with his own son if Devon always has him. Chance will be ok with it because of what he's going through, but Abby won't be.
I think this is just sad. I can’t believe that he kicked Abby when she was down. I hope Abby does not forgive Devon. But she will! I try not to watch when he is on anymore. I no longer respect nor like his character

He wouldn't be my friend anymore. He is going to push as far as he can. Doesn't he have a big business to handle. Where does he have all this time available. This story line doesn't make any sense.

This is possibly the worst storyline ever on Y&R. I don't even watch scenes with Devon anymore. They have made a mockery of surrogacy and mental health issues.

I REALLY HATE the writers CHANGED THE SCRIPT!!!THIS IS SO WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS!!!GET RID OF DEVON!!! I KNOW I’m NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT FEELS THIS WAY!! Time for the Dom story to end. I agree with Ms Hackman Devon got more invested in Dom than he and Abby had planned and now has some extra time with the baby as a result, lets leave it at that and move on.

Right? Every time he tells Chance "I'm not trying to take your place", I just would like to smack him. Who does he think he's kidding!! From what I read and what him and Amanda talk about this week, he will soon be suing for more time with Dom. When will Abby catch on?? Amanda is pushing him because she never got to know her own dad. Which is so very wrong of her as a lawyer and she should be ashamed of herself. What kind of lawyer encourages the sperm donor to sue for custody. Also I have a huge complaint about Devon/Amillary storyline. How could Devon live with, sleep with the woman that has the exact same face as the love of his life and lost his baby when she died. I keep waiting for him to call her Hillary. I just don't get it unless she is a Hillary replacement to him. Also how could Lily encourage him to sue for custody instead of giving him the advice to step back and help Chance bond with Dom? She is the mother of children that were carried by a surrogate (even though they have Cane's DNA also and they were married at the time) I still feel that would be so out of character for Lily to encourage Devon. She would have never given in to Mac like Abby gave in (that was because of Chance) which leads me to I think they are working slowly to pair up Devon & Abby to become a couple and raise Dom together. I HATE,HATE, HATE this S/L with a passion!!! I feel this is so out of character for all of them, including Chance (at least the Chance we all know & love). I can't stand Devon, Devon & Amillary, Devon & Dom S/L, Devon & Abby S/L. I just hate Devon now!! I am not sure they can redeem the character of Devon but they can start by breaking him & Amanda up!!!
