Rey and Sharon’s marriage has been put through the wringer in recent months. A major source of contention for the couple is Sharon’s unresolved feelings for her ex Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Despite Sharon’s dedication to Rey, the cop is suspicious about his wife’s bond with Adam. Rey’s doubts about his marriage could lead him to commit adultery.

Rey and Sharon’s relationship is going to be tested with him going away with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). After leaving Fairview, Chelsea informed everyone she would be leaving town to care for her mother Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) who’s having surgery. Yet, Chelsea’s plan to go alone was thwarted when Rey told her he’d be her police escort.

Chelsea and Rey’s trip is going to open up a whole new storyline. Of course with the two away, this leads the possibility of a Shadam reunion. Upcoming spoilers has Adam telling Sharon he still has feelings for her.

While many fans expect Adam and Sharon to hit the sheets during Rey’s absence, the opposite may occur. The couple everyone should be concerned about is Rey and Chelsea.

Although one wouldn’t expect Rey to become involved with Chelsea since she poisoned, stranger things have happened on soaps. Both Rey and Chelsea have been hurt by Sharon and Adam in the past. That’s a topic that’s bound to be discussed during their trip.

With Chelsea still plotting revenge against Shadam, she’ll pull the ultimate betrayal by seducing Rey.

Rey is one of Y&R’s good guys. However, fans feel his character has become boring and needs a change.

Rey’s a devoted husband and many wouldn’t expect him to cheat on Sharon. However, his infidelity could garner interest in his character along with plenty of drama.

Chelsea is going to use his concern about Shadam to her benefit as she set in motion her newest plan. With Rey letting his guard down, she’ll put the moves on him. Although Rey will try to resist, eventually Chelsea will break him and the two will give in to temptation.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Aftermath Of Their Affair

Rey and Chelsea’s affair will make for an exciting storyline. Genoa City’s top detective will deal with the guilt of his betrayal as he contemplates whether to tell Sharon.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will no doubt hang this over Rey’s head and use it as blackmail for further down the road. With his marriage at risk, Rey’s going to have a tough dilemma as he battles with this secret.

All this time Rey thought Adam would destroy his marriage, yet it’s Rey who could ruin things. If the truth does get out, he’ll realize his greatest fear when he loses Sharon to Adam.
