That’s because he had assumed that his time on the soap was over seeing how the last time he was on the canvas was back in February.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Zach Tinker Is Back

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Zach says that it certainly does feel like he’s back at home again, even though he was surprised by the reaction – and even some of the speculation – that he read online from soap fans.

He told the publication, “I read on Twitter from fans, ‘Fen’s doing drugs,’ and I said, ‘Wow, this is when I would want to come back.’ I love playing complex characters who are going through tough times. I was really touched that The Young and the Restless game me some great material to work with and I’m super grateful to head writer Josh Griffith and the other writers.”

Zach did admit that he was a little nervous coming back at first, seeing how it’s been quite some time since he was in front of the cameras. But after seeing all of his old co-stars and cast members, who knew he was back in the place that he belongs. Plus, it felt very good to be reunited with his on-screen parents, Christian J. LeBlanc (Michael) and Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren).

Y&R Spoilers: Fenmore Is Reunited With His Parents

Zach added, “They are both such fantastic people and really fun to play with in scenes. Christian and I have done some hanging outside the show. We also try to meet for lunch and dinner every month. It’s a little harder with Tracey because she’s Ms. Travel, so I never know where she is, but it’s been great to hang out with both of them this time. They are such decent, nice and talented human beings, and I always have a great time with them.”

With that said, it will be interesting to see what’s in store for Zach in the coming weeks. Of course, The Young and the Restless fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
