The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) may have just confirmed co-star Michael Mealor’s exit from the show as Kyle Abbott. The rumor mill has been churning about Mealor’s possible exit but a tweet from Thompson appears to put the period at the end of the sentence.

A fan tweeted Thompson to say they were going to miss him and Mealor in scenes together and the Emmy winner responded, “Me, too! Michael is a gem. We will miss him.”
That sure seems like Thompson is saying Mealor is out, what do you think Y&R fans?

The fans were immediatly all over the tweet with one fan saying, “So this means he is definitely leaving? Y&R needs to fix this mess ASAP. The writing has been atrocious and the bright spot has been Skyle until this Tara crap. Who looks like she is 20 years older than Kyle.”
Another tweeted, “I always loved watching @MyJasonThompson with @Michael_Mealor @HunterHaleyKing and @ginatognoni. 😢 #YR has lost/is losing so much talent. I hope they appreciate the greatness they still have in JT.”
Another fan wrote, “They will probably recast Kyle since they have this stupid storyline with Tara which I hate otherwise why didn’t they have them both leave for Italy.”

Neither Mealor nor the show have confirmed his exit or anything about his contract negotiations. So take everything with a grain of salt. That said, the speculation about him leaving was spurred on by the news that his onscreen boo Hunter King (Summer Newman) was in the same boat.

With her character off in Paris, will Kyle soon follow? Summer decided to leave Genoa City, Wisconsin to take a big time job but in fact it was a trick to get her away from Kyle. If Kyle finds out that Summer left to protect him, he could be willing to chase after her. that will be especially true if he finds out that his supposed son is not really his after all.
For her part King is signed on to star in the ABC comedy pilot Prospect. She will play a 19th-century teacher who moves to the frontier to teach uncouth ranch hands. That sounds like a 180 departure from Summer Newman!

The writers are terrible! I've been watching y&r since the first episode and I can't believe they are even thinking of terminating Kyle and Summer. What a really stupid decision. Get rid of Chelsea and give them her salary. I can't stand to watch her. I fast forward through her scenes.
Yes I totally agree with the fan's up there and are right this Tara looks 20 years older than Kyle and its time for him to start a life with Summer in Italy.
I'm also tired of Chelsea's games, grow up woman, act your age.
I think Chelsea needs to go. Don’t like watching her.
I’m sick of these writers. Just fire the writers. Period.
I have seen fans on this chat forum come up with better ideas for stories. Wouldn't it be more cost effective to have a fan suggestions page somewhere and hire some talented people to take the really good ideas some fans suggest and turn them into interesting stories. I don't know why people are getting paid for writing some of this crap when ordinary people who are fans of the show can do better. Perhaps a fan who can suggest the best years stories can get to meet their idols at one of these tea parties they used to do. Just a thought.
Glad to see Summer out. Viewer from the very beginning. Kyle and Summer are just too boring and For Jack to step back and have them running Jabot made no sense. Good bye to the both of them.
One character that really should go is Phyllis, all she does is walk around in after five clothing, take clueless Nick up stairs think she knows everything about everyone. Her daughter left so she might as well go behind her since she is always talking about my daughter as if she is a toddler.
