The Young and the Restless Weekly Spoilers April 20 to 24: Parties and Romance Come to GC, and Kyle Fires Theo

The Young and the Restless promo for the week of April 20th through 24th indicates that parties and love are in the air in Genoa City, while Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) May be looking for other work when Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) fires him.

Parties in Genoa City

This week a few Genoa City residents get together for a couple of shindigs.

First up, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) are thrown a surprise baby shower.

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman), and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) come together to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Chloe and Kevin’s son.

Meanwhile, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) decides to plan a get-together to cheer up her mother Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).

Sharon’s fears about her breast cancer battle have been plaguing her. Mariah is scared just like her mother is, but she wants to focus on the positive.

To take Sharon’s mind off of everything, Mariah along Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) plan a small get-together in which the group is seen dancing and laughing.

It seems Mariah’s plan does the trick as Sharon has a smile on her face.

Couples heat up

Romance continues to be in the air for many Y&R couples.

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) budding romance continues to heat up. The couple is all smiles as they enjoy dinner at Society and Nate toasts to Amanda’s taste in doctors.

Meanwhile, Kyle and Summer Newman (Hunter King) continue to bask in their reunion as the couple sneaks off for some romantic downtime.

But their rendezvous may be cut short when they have to deal with drama at Jabot.

Theo’s unemployment

Kyle and Theo’s ongoing feud continues to rage on in and out of the office.

When Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) became frustrated with their constant arguing, he challenged them to put their resources to good use at the office.

With a new campaign on the line, Jack’s looking for new ideas. Theo wants to one-up Kyle and decides to steal his cousin’s ideas and pass it off as his own.

However, Theo’s plan is exposed in front of Jack. Embarrassed that he got caught, Theo offers his apologies and promises it won’t happen again.

Kyle tells Theo it won’t happen again because he’s fired.

So it looks like Kyle has gained the upper hand in their rivalry since Kyle still has a job and Theo doesn’t.

But Theo still has the support of Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), who happens to be Kyle’s ex-wife.

While Kyle is with Summer, he’s still concerned about Lola. With her still hanging out Theo that’s going to further infuriate Kyle.

Even though Kyle has Summer and his CEO job, he’s still obsessed with Theo and it look like their feud isn’t going to end anytime soon.
