The Young and the Restless (Y&R) news reveals soap opera star Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) recently shared a throwback photo of himself of his younger years with his two children, Calyssa and Caden. And from what we can tell, Doug was every inch the heartthrob back then as he still is today! Here’s what you need to know.

In the photo, a very young and handsome (and might we also add buff) Doug can be seen sitting in a recliner with his one daughter in his hands and his other daughter passed out next to his feet. But what fans are really loving is the fact that Doug is only wearing a pair of very tight shorts, showing off his tan and athletic figure. The photo is absolutely adorable and definitely shows Doug in his prime as both a father and a huge daytime television star.
Of course, it didn’t take long at all for Doug’s fans and followers to comment on the photo and it seems like they were just as excited about it as we are. Many of them said, “Now this is the Doug that I remember the best! You can tell that you were in your element here. This is such a great photo, thanks for sharing,” along with, “You were a great father and an actor back then and you are still a great father and actor now. And might I add a very handsome stud too!”

Y&R Star Doug Davidson Wants More Air Time
Meanwhile, a lot of The Young and the Restless fans have been left dismayed over the fact that Doug hasn’t been getting much air time as his character Paul Williams on the most recent episodes of The Young and the Restless. In fact, Doug himself has even said that he feels more like a day player than a major character on the show. Here’s hoping that the producers will realize that and give Paul Williams the major storyline that he deserves.

I miss 'Doug Davidson' as 'Paul' he is right, needs more 'air time' and he hasn't been getting any, is that why he left y & r?
I wish the writers would get him back as the 'Police Chief'
He's the only one that solves the 'crime' right away.

Yes on bringing Paul back. I really like him as Police Chief, he does a better job than Rey. Send Rey to Florida with Lola. Hate to see her go but a new job is waiting for her. She has been a good actress. As for Nick and Jack it has been a long time coming. Who do you think Phyllis will take up for? Guess we have to wait and see.. It will be good cause neither men will back down. Phyllis will tell Nick to forget it and start laughing. That is what she does.
I have been watching the Young and the restless for 40 years. I love Doug Davidson, and I think he needs to be back on the show. You’ve brought back Tracey, and Nina. Why not bring him back. I am bored to death with Ray. All he ever does is look mad. Enough already get him back on the show.
