The Young & Restless News – Doug Davidson Airs Frustration in Twitter
Back in March, he took to Twitter to air out his frustration. The actor said, “I think I am done. After 43 years, I am treated like a day player. No Bueno.”
Viewers were quick to show their love and support and demanded that he be given the spotlight that he and his character, Paul, deserves.
Y&R News – Eric Braeden Speaks Up About Doug Davidson’s MIA Status
Braeden, who plays Victor Newman, aired the same sentiments and said “I have been in Dougie Davidson’s corner for years!”
“I think it is utterly wrong that he isn’t involved in storylines!” he continued.
“He is one of the all-time favorites on our soap and should bloody well be an important part of it!” he explained. Fans chimed in and agreed to Braeden’s tweet. One agreed and said “Hell yeah.”
Davidson greatly appreciated Braeden for standing up for him. The actor also took to social media and said, “OK, I can’t tell you how much it means to have a friend like Eric.”
He is “such a wonderful human being! He is our true leader, but there are some awesome peeps on that show. Thank you again,” he wrote.
The actor added, “Eric is amazing! Whether or not I return. His commitment to the truth touches my soul. Thank you, my friend.”
Despite his current status on the soap, he assured his fans that “Honestly, everything is good.”
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – For The Week of May 10
“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for the week of May 10 revealed that Victor will do all he can to help Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). He’ll also reach out to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) for some assistance. The latter will also be busy with Faith Newman’s (Reyleynn Caster) surgery.
He’ll put his career at stake just to make sure that she gets a kidney transplant. He’ll remain silent about the identity of the organ donor because Faith’s life is on the line.
Elsewhere, Adam will have a standalone, chess-themed episode, which may happen during Faith’s operation. Upcoming scenes show that the surgery will be successful.

I agree with Mr Braeden. I have been saying for sometime I thought Doug Davidson's character was treated badly by the writers. His character had potential for really good stories but instead was often written as having the entire cast of characters stomping in the police department shouting at him! And then there was Kevin sitting in front of his office helping anyone who walked in to access confidential police IT information. Doug deserved better.
