The Young and the Restless (YR) Poll: How Will Adam Be Pushed Out Of Newman Enterprises?

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has what he’s long wanted on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) allowed him to take the Chief Executive Officer’s slot without a fight, which doesn’t make sense. The transition happened because of the evidence Adam has and believes is rock solid.

Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle) was pushed from the job she worked her way toward for decades. As her older, trusted brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), strongly reinforced, Vickie started in the mailroom when she was a teenager. Adam doesn’t recognize honest effort, seeing what he’s done to obtain power as identical to what Victor did to build the business.

Hardcore Y&R fans know that constant upheaval has long been common at this family conglomerate. So, a reasonable question is how, rather than if, Adam will be pushed out?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman’s Flashback Is Limited

Victor has been very controlled in his response to Adam’s treachery. Hope Wilson’s (Signy Coleman) son was surprised that his father didn’t battle him, or even respond with that much anger.

Adam’s conversations with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), his revived romantic connection and full supporter of this power grab, center on the eagerly shared belief that Victor must be guilty. Adam does have mixed feelings about the matter, as he thinks his father was likely defending his mother from A.J. Montalvo (a character not known to have been cast).

Adam’s assessment doesn’t take into account that Victor either wasn’t directly responsible for what happened, meaning that Hope may have struggled with A.J. and pushed him off the barn loft, or that Victor acted in defense of her, or someone else, possibly even including Adam himself. Fans have only seen a limited flashback of Victor’s reflections, which fuels this speculation.

In the above scenario, Victor would be allowing Adam to be the CEO until a point where whatever happened can be presented in some undeniable fashion.

Y&R Spoilers – Vickie Newman Won’t Back Off

Vickie is not about to let Adam permanently derail her. She is also mystified that Victor willingly allowed her younger brother to take control.

Connecting with Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) is key to Vickie’s plan to push Adam out. She informed DiDomenico’s character what he’s doing with the information she obtained for the story he paid her to prepare.

Vickie’s conversation with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) at Crimson Lights telegraphed what comes next. She intends to utilize Chancellor Industries’ new media division as an outlet to expose Adam, with the intent of bringing him down.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Faced With The Truth, Adam Newman Bows Out

Adam ran off to Las Vegas, Nevada, after his emotional collapse, which followed news of Victor’s death, later revealed as a hoax. That brief recap can be connected to the developing storyline.

Through his own admission, Adam told the audience, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz), and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), through her digital ear, that he’d killed a man in Vegas. This never-seen character, even in retrospect, was after Chance and lunged at Adam, who defended himself. Yes, the link to what happened to A.J. in Kansas is similar.

It’s reasonable to believe that Phyllis will provide her intel to Nick, who can then relay that to Vickie and, or their father. When that happens, Adam would be at least neutralized and forced to resign.

Fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ rightfully express their opinions on a regular basis. So, how will Adam be pushed out of Newman Enterprises? Please vote in our poll!
