The Young and the Restless (YR) Poll: What Changes Do Y&R Fans Want To See?Readers of this comprehensive site know that back stage changes have recently taken place on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Savvy soap fans are aware that Tony Morina’s elevation to executive producer and Josh Griffith’s double bump to co-executive producer and head writer will likely mean that Genoa City will look different in the near future. But what will those adjustments mean for the show?

News indicates that the Adam (most recently played by Justin Hartley) is apparently being recast. Do fans want to see this character return if Hartley, or the actor he replaced, Michael Muhney, won’t fill this role?

The now ten-month storyline, that has centered upon J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) being fully written out of character, transforming him from a normal human being into a monster because he held a grudge about Colleen’s (Tammin Sursok) death and experienced a temporary job set back, has pushed fan’s patience past the point of return. Is it likely that they want this arc wrapped immediately?

If the above wish is granted, Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) nightmare will be over and Victor (Eric Braeden) can transition back to his main pose. Scott and Braeden’s characters have nicely bonded via their current storyline, which represents ‘Niktor’ at its best. Now, it’s time for this all-time power pair to be given a different adventure to pursue. What should this duo’s next joint venture be?

It’s very noticeable that Y&R’s most recent decision-maker wanted Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) to be seen in almost every consecutive episode since this character’s debut last summer. Is it time for ‘Every Day Rey’ to go back to work under Chief of Police Paul Williams, meaning that the great Doug Davidson should be written back into the show?

What about the other familiar faces? Will enough newer viewers share the nostalgic thoughts of longtime fans, who want to see more Jill (Jess Walton), Esther (Kate Linder), Gloria (Judith Chapman), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), and others, be these character’s returns lengthy, or simply short stints?

      Get rid of the Telenova Rosales Clan, get rid of Tessa the grifter, show that J.T. is alive, bring back Paul, Chelsea, Dylan, Gloria, & Scott, and give more air time to Esther, have her run Crimson Lights! If I only get two of those: get rid of all 4 Rosales’s, and bring back Paul!!!!!

      Remove the Rosales family perminately.
      Bring back Paul, Lily, Jill, Ashley, Chloe, Gloria, Kevin, Chelsea, Ester, plus the stable actors were let go.
      Kyle, Summer & Phyllis need to have better story lines. They are all getting boring.

      I am not sure why so many of you are upset with the Rosales. I think they bring life into the show. At least it gets away from a very long storyline that everyone wants ended. Mia shows a lot of emotion and is doing a wonderful job at making everyone not like her. That is what she was hired for. She is very pretty, also. I love what Kyle is doing – keep up the good work. Sharon and Rey I can’t get whether this will work.

      When Adam is recast I would really love to see Mark Valley as Adam. He was Brad Chase in Boston Legal. He is drop deal gorgeous. But he can play mean, funny, quirky, as romantic. He was one of the attorneys.

      Mia is the best of the 4 at acting her role
      Arturo the worst follow by Rey.
      How can someone want to see Rey n Sharon ( yuck) he is short , doesn’t have good presence either , him and his brother look like gang members. Lola is too fake.
      bring back Adam & Chelsea
      .Paul and JT alive, Gloria .
      Get rid of Christine, Tessa and Mariah , kill lily and make cane a full man again with a new story line.
      Let Esther have more than a gossip 2 sentence part in the show.
