Chelsea and Adam have two sons together. Connor, as noted, and their first son, Riley Newman (Malachi Barton) who died before birth. Those ties alone make Chelsea Adam’s number one choice.

Adam’s perceived death in September 2016 created numerous outcomes. Among them was Chelsea’s eventual flea from GC, which involved her suddenly leaving without telling Nick. The guilt Chelsea felt played a part in Chick’s reunion this year and in her forgiving Nick when he didn’t tell her about the death hoax.

Y&R Spoilers – Sharon Newman Is A Strong Second Choice

Adam was persuaded to return home by Sharon, when she traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada, at Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) urging. There was no doubt that ‘Spider’ sensed a connection with Sharon, despite not recalling who she was.

Sharon does care for Adam. But like him, he’s not her top current choice. Rey broke things off with Sharon before Adam left for Vegas. Vilasuso’s character rightly believed at that time that Case’s character was misguided in her appreciation and was facing peril.

‘Shey’s’ cautious revival now includes Rey green-lighting Sharon’s continued commitment to helping Connor, even though that will put her in regular contact with Adam. Clearly, the proximity to Sharon will create opportunities to restart ‘Chadam’.

Earlier this year Phyllis was openly telling people that she wasn’t Adam’s friend or dupe. Her intent was to bring him down. While he handled that outcome on his own, Phyllis oddly continues to want contact with Adam.

Viewers don’t yet know if Phyllis is still pursuing some type of revenge plot, for whatever undefined reason, against Adam, or she’s actually falling for him. The idea of ‘Phadam’ is frightening, but also possible considering a variety of factors.
