The Young and the Restless (YR) Poll: Why Is Rey Investigating J.T.’s Disappearance?

The Young and the Restless (YR) Poll: Why Is Rey Investigating J.T.'s Disappearance?Okay, Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) is Arturo’s (Jason Canela) brother on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But why is this new character investigating J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) disappearance?

The Rosales’ brothers said that they haven’t been in touch for two years. While it’s unknown how long Rey has been in town, it appeared as though he just arrived in Genoa City.

Could he be working for Paul (Doug Davidson)? That connection was suggested when Davidson’s character suddenly appeared, stooped to the floor at Crimson Lights, and picked up what seemed to be a coffee stirrer. He handed it to Rey, who was sitting at the table.

Either that was a request for contact, or simply the kind act Paul offered to a stranger. But it felt like Y&R was purposely projecting an answer to the question devoted fans were all thinking when they’ve seen Rey trailing various suspects in this case. Is Rey a police investigator?

So, if Rey isn’t working as an undercover officer with the GC Police Department, as he seems not to be, then he could be looking into J.T.’s disappearance on his own. This elder Rosales brother could have known Luckinbill’s character in D.C., or in Poland. Possibly they were partners, one worked for the other, they were colleagues at the same company, or simply friends.

The manner in which Rey is getting to know the members of the coverup crew, along with other parts of the Newman family, indicates a professional bent. Vilasuso’s character presented himself to Abby (Melissa Ordway) as the good guy, as compared to his brother and her boyfriend, Arturo. So, Rey is likely not working for an underground operation that J.T. might have owed money to.

If Rey knew J.T. while they were both living in D.C., then Mackenzie (Kelly Kruger) might know him as well, or she’s hired Rey to locate the father of her children. That reads like a plausible scenario.

Fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ rightfully express their opinions on a regular basis. So, why is Rey investigating J.T.’s disappearance? Please vote in our poll below!

Rey is working with Christine’s federal connections, not directly with Paul, though Paul is also involved. In the end he will decide to stay on as part of the currently depleted police force.

I think Paul & Rey r working together l think Paul thought Rey could handle the investigation while Paul is supposed to b somewhere else bring back Paul Rey is such a sleaze ball Paul should arrive back in town and put a close to this JT storyline
