BiLily agreed that they needed to strike first in an attempt to defend Chance Com from Newman Media’s expected attack. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) aren’t keeping any secrets. They plan to bury Chancellor Industries’ media arm.
So, was it smart for Billy to poke both bears? Lily thinks so, which is different than the take she offered when Billy went around her back to personally attack Adam in the recent past.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Newman Media Challenged This Time
Billy geared his most recent article toward Newman Media itself this time, rather than solely going after both of its heads. This is his attempt to weaken the upstart company as it aims to knock out Chance Com and then pick from its carcass.
Lily had light concerns about Billy’s use of anonymous sources but okayed the story for digital release. She actually upped the post time from the end of the day to the moment she said yes.
However, citing the circumstances of Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) sale of Cyaxares to Victor and Adam is problematic.
Y&R Spoilers – Ashland Locke Can Counter-Narrative
Billy’s source was Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). She’s the one who told Billy about her father withholding urgent medical care from Ashland, who suffered a heart crisis at the Newman Ranch. That happened, with Victor insisting Ashland sign the sales agreement. Billy was also with Victoria when she later confronted her father about the details of that completed deal.
But all Ashland needs to do is to issue a statement through the renamed company where he is a Board member. Of course, Ashland has a double incentive. He has a vested interest in Newman Media’s success and also wants to counter a story that is intended to make it look like he was overpowered by Victor during a time of distress.
Ashland doesn’t play the victim or exploit actual wronged status. He’s all about maintaining the tough Lockeness Monster image that’s painstakingly built through the years.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chance Com Living On Borrowed Time
Chancellor Industries was a titan in its day. As devoted longtime fans saw and recall, Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) recruited Victor to run her company. He later founded Newman Enterprises but remained friends with the Grande Dame of Genoa City, Wisconsin.
Today, Jill Abbott Atkinson (Jess Walton) is a mostly absentee owner. She created a media division in order to specifically give Billy something productive to do. Jill tapped Lily as a counterbalance to him.
Victor and Adam aren’t used to losing. So, Chance Com’s salvo will trigger a response. The outlet that Billy and Lily head could be living on borrowed time, unless the dynamic changes through divine daytime intervention.

Billy Abbott is long over due for Victor to kick his butt. He is so cocky and he thinks he know everything he needs to know. Time for Victor to bring him down to size. Better yet, let Adam be the one to put him in his place. Will somebody leak the news about Billy and Summer.
