This sad situation continues to be fraught with the fallout. What else could be expected when two people are dead? Devon rightly pointed out the count of people who were killed when Lily ran that red light, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and their unborn child.
Some opt to believe that a human being in the womb purely represents some part of an existing body. But every person who has ever come to be born was (or, for all who are alive, is), logically and emotionally, an infinitely important, unique, individual life that deserves full protection. To choose to think anything other opens the door to human selection, which goes reason, civilized history, and just law. That fully realistic rationale represents half the reason why Devon is incensed with the sibling he formerly loved and will, likely, care for again some day.
Do you think Devon can ever forgive Lily? 😢 #YR pic.twitter.com/YzE8dsCiSG

Lily did not kill the unborn boy, or girl that Hilary was carrying. Lily’s actions also did not later kill Hilary, who died as the result of the injuries suffered in the grotesque car accident that snuffed out two of Devon’s loved ones. Accidents, including tragic ones, happen, regularly, forever changing remaining lives.
Devon’s response has been vindictive, but it’s also understandable, within limits. Neil (Kristoff St. John), Lily, Cane (Daniel Goddard), and others are giving James’ character exceptional consideration, due to the circumstances.
Lily’s full remorse could lead to her imprisonment, if, as Michael (Christian LeBlanc) said, she could, if convicted, receive a prison sentence of up to twenty years.
Devon was noticeably stunned by that potential time frame, but then asked Lily if it would be a fair trade for his child and Hilary being dead forever? Khalil’s reaction shot was brilliant, as it showed Lily’s further revelation of Devon’s coldness.
This is sure strengthening #Lane & making them come full circle❤❤❤#YR pic.twitter.com/K2nFtz110N

Lily’s future is uncertain, as is Devon’s. Time, probably a great soapy deal of it, will be needed to begin, rather than complete, the initial process of forgiveness and then, healing.

Devon is in such extreme pain. He
Really needs to open his heart to
God.Give it all to God.If Lily goes to
To prison for an extended period of
Time, his grief will explode.
LILY SHOULD PAY, BUT NOT 20 YEARS, BUT AFTER IT IS ALL SAID & DONE, SHE SHOULD
GET ANOTHER JOB, & LEAVE DEVON ALONE
TILL HE COMES TO HIS SENSES, & REALIZE
LILY DIDN’T DO IT ON PURPOSE BUT IT
COULD BE A LONG, LONG TIME, HE IS TO
BUSY HATING THE WORLD & HIS FAMILY FOR HILIARYS FATE, HILIARY I MIGHT ADD WAS
A DIFFICULT PERSON NO MATTER WHAT
DEVON CAME TO FEEL, NOT EVERY ONE
FELT AS HE DID.
Perhaps it’s time for Devon to go out of the show. There is no one for him to go out with now and there is no story line to his company so he should have gone with Hilary. Keep Ashleigh as she is great. Billy will get kicked out of jobot so nothing left for him. Sick of his love scenes all the time. He does nothing else. Get some new people with new stories
The story is getting boring we need hilary back from the dead your good at bringing them back
