The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: J.T. Is Back – Drama Erupts In Genoa City

Viewers of and characters on ‘The Young and the Restless’ have been wondering for months if J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) was alive. Well, that answer seems to have arrived. Now, drama naturally erupts in Genoa City.

J.T.’s supernatural revival won’t be the main focus following the never-dead man’s return. Instead, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Billy (Jason Thompson) are intent on setting a trap for Mr. Hellstrom, as Morrow’s character tells his dad.

Victor (Eric Braeden) holds a stronger grudge against J.T. than anyone, including Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Yes, Mrs. Newman was just sentenced to thirty years in prison, but Luckinbill’s enigmatic character didn’t try to kill her twice.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – JT And Paul Return

Viewer favorite Doug Davidson’s (Paul) iconic character also returns to GC this week. It’s only right that the Chief of Police, who, along with Christine (Lauralee Bell), as District Attorney, positioned J.T. against Victor, becomes involved in solving this case. Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) efforts have helped, but he’s become conflicted.

A contingent of longtime Y&R fans may always remain baffled as to why former executive producer and head writer Mal Young plucked this particular character to devolve. Why was J.T., in particular, tagged as the mad man?

However, from a purely artistic sense, fair-minded fans have to give Young and his team credit for crafting an arc that has passed the eleven month mark. While it’s debatable that this storyline has run many months too long and become a bit complex, praise should be offered for the strength it took to pursue this daytime experiment. Here’s hoping the new regime fittingly ends the arc.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Thad Luckinbill Is Back

The show’s devotees also need to bow to Luckinbill for knowingly returning to a role where reactions would naturally turn against the one-time good guy. That’s reflective of an actor who was willing to venture into the unknown, walking far outside the trappings of who J.T. once was. Complete kudos are offered to Luckinbill.

So, J.T.’s hand will be shown busting through dirt the ‘Coverup Crew’s’ threw on him at Chancellor Park. His tortured face will also be seen and then the script pages in this saga’s final (we guess) chapter begin to turn toward the last page.
