The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Nick’s Plan Dangerous – Sharon To Be Affected, Can She Trust Him Again?

Nick (Joshua Morrow) was struck by what Sharon (Sharon Case) shared about her first day at the Genoa City Police Department on ‘The Young and the Restless’. While he’s transforming into a hardcore business man, Nick wants to maintain positive personal ties. That’s why his plan to reveal ‘Phick’s’ interaction is deeply dangerous.

Sure, it would be honest to tell Sharon what happened before ‘Shick’s’ wedding takes place next month. Nick is calculating that his fiance will be impacted by what she learns, but will also be grateful that he told her the truth before their remarriage happens.

His effort is actually noble. Plus, Nick doesn’t even know that Sharon is withholding her connection to the coverup crew from him. So, it’s possible that Nick’s conscious divulge will cause Sharon to spill as well.

However, Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) reaction to Nick’s plan makes sense. She doesn’t see the logic in providing said information to Sharon. Considering all of the women in the world, Phyllis remains the one person who understandably rubs Sharon the wrong way.

Cassie’s (Camryn Grimes) death in 2005 led to Nick and Phyllis’ bond. Summer (now played by recast Bayley Corman) was the product of that eventual union.

Nick’s observation of the bond that’s grown between his ex-wives since the spring includes a blind spot that only the coverup crew and the audience can see. Sharon and Phyllis are on speaking terms and are having regular meetings, but that’s because of what happened to J.T. (Thad Luckinbill).

The difference between Nick telling Sharon about ‘Phick’s’ impulse reunion and Sharon possibly relaying her link to J.T.’s demise is vast. Yes, Nick believed he and Sharon were broken up at the time he got together with Phyllis. But his revisit of that particular pairing naturally raises questions about whether Sharon will ever be able to trust that Nick will remain committed to her via ‘Shick’ Part II.

Sharon’s connection to the coverup crew was forced. She was actually opposed to keeping everything secret. And, most important to current matters, her link to the crimes that are being withheld had nothing to do with Nick. Sharon has remained silent in order to help Nick’s mother and sister, along with Phyllis.
