The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Nikki Conflicted About Victor’s Secret – Jack Miller Possible

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is once again caught between her husband and her friend on ‘The Young and the Restless’.

Victor (Eric Braeden) believes that he might be Jack’s (Peter Bergman) half-brother through Albert Miller (George Kennedy), a potentially show-altering plot point that the ‘Moustache’ somewhat surprisingly revealed to his wife.

Victor rejected Nikki’s nuanced assertion that his eternal battle with Jack could be somehow changed by this genetic potential. No thawing of relations with the man he’s battled dating back to the 1980’s was projected. Christmas gift exchanges were strongly ruled out.

It seems unlikely that the circled part of the black and white photo Abby (Melissa Ordway) is promoting on her social media feed will generate no further response, beyond Victor’s veiled recognition. Someone, somewhere in the internet world appears bound to recognize the air-brushed in face of Kennedy.

Hardcore viewers recall that Braeden’s scenes with the late actor were some of, if not the best, of his Y&R tenure. Braeden himself has previously cited that 2003 mark as great work.

Victor, as accompanied by Nick (Joshua Morrow), visited Albert in a nursing home fifteen years ago. Miller was sick and nearing death, so Victor naturally thought they could talk matters out and reach a personal accord.

Albert refused to apologize for abandoning Victor, his brother Matt (a recently recast role that will be played by Richard Gleason), and their mother Cora (Dorothy McGuire). Victor was enraged and later wept profusely. Those indelible scenes added deeply meaningful backstory to Braeden’s character and allowed the actor to demonstrate an element of his range that hadn’t been previously exhibited in that most powerful manner.

Considering Matt’s impending arrival, it’s fair to suggest that he has, or will spot Albert’s young face on Abby’s social media outlet, or saw the GC Buzz spot where it was featured. Victor’s rarely seen brother is about to be somehow mixed into this developing storyline.

In the meantime, will Nikki be able to permanently withhold what she knows? Y&R seems certain to write Jack and Nikki together in order to promote the potential of an information spill. But of course, the show continues to withhold whether this stunner storyline shift will actually unfold, or is simply another paternity goose that Jack is chasing.
