Sneaky Kyle developed another scheme. This plot isn’t as duplicitous as the one he concocted with Victor (Eric Braeden) in an attempt to topple Jack (Peter Bergman). But Kyle’s aim at his uncle is also diabolical.
Sinead (Lira Kellerman) looks suspicious to Phyllis. Billy’s number one gambler nemesis appeared to be interested in a romantic game as well, but that’s not the mark this lady is seeking.
As Y&R fans recall, Kyle paid Sinead upfront cash. This recently introduced side character sports an alternative pink hair color and a brazen attitude. Like the lead character she’s linked to, Sinead also is a gambling addict.
Phyllis: “Why do you want Billy to play in this tournament, what’s in it for you??”

Kellerman’s intriguing alter ego needs a constant supply of green fuel to participate in order to play in high-stakes games, like the one that is underway in Sin City. Sinead’s job was to lure Billy to the Nevada-based tournament, which she successfully executed.
Reaction shots of Tognoni’s character show the audience what Phyllis really thinks. She is being honest with Billy, in saying that she understands his desire to play and wants to support him. But the real reason she’s in Vegas is to try and prevent her current soul mate from crashing, as he so often has in the past.
Billy’s initial win led to a fun, money-throw scene in ‘Philly’s’ modest Vegas room. The digs certainly reflected a few hundred dollar options, rather than a sweet suite, or a plush penthouse spread. However, longtime Billy observers, Phyllis, and his loved ones back in Genoa City surely must be expecting him to lose his ill-gotten gains.
Sinead’s quick-thinking produced a cover story when her intentions toward Billy were questioned by Phyllis. She claimed to have wanted him in Vegas in order to hopefully win Jaboat back. Phyllis didn’t buy it, as she is super savvy.
Whether Kyle’s manipulator is able to score as he hoped, meaning that his uncle would use Jabot funds to gamble, isn’t yet known. But Phyllis’ presence gives Billy a gambler’s chance at survival no matter what hand he’s dealt.
