Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) doesn’t believe in ‘Shick’. But, like Sharon and others, her qualms about this second-tried reunion are apt.
Was it really necessary for Nick to seek Phyllis’ counsel, or to clue her in to what he was doing on so many occasions during the lead-up to his marriage proposal to Sharon? Apparently so.
Nick abandoned Sharon for Phyllis (then played by Michelle Stafford) after Cassie (Camryn Grimes) died in 2005. That was horrible and directly led to Sharon’s life going off-track for many, many years.
Mariah (also played so well by Daytime Emmy Award-winner Grimes) had strong trepidation about the reunion her mom was quickly embracing with Nick. Those concerns were understandable, as Mariah didn’t want her mom to be badly hurt if the reunion didn’t last. But now she’s onboard, which is deeply meaningful to Sharon.

Regardless of what her enemy (Phyllis), or devoted daughter and main confidant (Mariah) believe, Sharon wasn’t sure about legally tying herself to Nick. But that’s not because of concerns about love from either half of ‘Shick’. Instead, Sharon was worried that the second-time around with Nick might not work out. Plus, there is the serious and lingering Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) issue.

The arbitration judge ruled that Victor (Eric Braeden) be given temporary custody of the boy who was called Sully (by Sharon and Dylan, Steve Burton) for a year because, in part, of Sharon’s bipolar disorder. Whether Brittany (Lauren Woodland) can successfully prove that seeming mental health slant represents bias will soon be determined. But in the meantime the long-awaited sequel, which will be called ‘Shick’ Part II, is back on.
Here’s hoping that Y&R has written these two legacy characters all the way back together, that they do actually remarry, and then stay together indefinitely, regardless of whatever drama they’re sure to face as one.

Absolutely!
Yes, it would be stupid for Nick to break up because of a secret that his mother and sister are also involved in!
Yes I do. Hope it lasts.
