The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Victoria Takes Advantage – Nick’s New Venture Clears Newman Decks

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Victoria Takes Advantage – Nick's New Venture Clears Newman DecksVickie (Amelia Heinle) stayed at Newman Enterprises on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She rejected Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) request that she join his new company that seeks to take out the family business.

Victor (Eric Braeden) was pleased that his daughter remained loyal. He quickly acceded to her requests that she receive a written document stating she’ll take over for him when he retires. Vickie also had her Chief Operating Officer title restored.

Nick’s intent wasn’t to clear the decks for Vickie, but that’s what the effect is. His own return to Newman lasted all of a few days. He spurned Victor’s offer that he become COO, which led to this new company’s quick creation.

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) recently went back to Jabot, after being employed for a handful of weeks. Noah (Robert Adamson) abandoned Newman’s overseas division and will be opening Dark Horse’s London office. Abby (Melissa Ordway) cited past bad treatment and has joined her brother as well.

One wonders how any major corporation could survive such churning. The upper levels of management at Newman always seem to be in flux. But then the location of Newman Enterprises in Genoa City is recalled and thoughts flow on.

Vickie could see that her brothers are gone, the younger one, Adam (most recently played by Justin Hartley), supposedly forever. Her younger sister Abby will no longer be around to annoy her. And, the most significant threat, Ashley, erased herself from the corporate picture.

Victor pushed down hard on Vickie for having conspired with Jack (Peter Bergman) in the recent past. But she’s all he has left now, unless Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) plans to accept some type of executive position.

Actually, Nikki’s loyalty has been firm. Plus, she surprisingly ran the company when he was suffered the stroke. Nikki hadn’t worked at Newman for year and Y&R didn’t show her in the flow, so this plausible position might not come about for this character. But it would be cool to explore.

As always, more detailed spoilers and a full collection of pictures for the week in question will appear here on Celebrating The Soaps, when there will be more clues and hints over exactly what’s going on.

The Young & The Restless airs weekdays on the CBS network.
