Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) selfless sacrifice was offered as an apology to Faith for all that he put her and her mother through in the past. Even Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was touched by what Adam did and the unexpected forthrightness that he’s projecting.
Meanwhile, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) was baited by Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), who projected her Shey anger and paranoia mix when confessing to the poisoning.

Chelsea realized that her plan to frame Adam had fallen apart. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was onto her. As she said, he has power, money, and influence. So, she had no choice but to go along with his plan.
As part of the setup, Chelsea put on a tour de force performance that convinced Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) she was the guilty party. Since Chelsea confessed, Genoa City, Wisconsin’s District Attorney had to set Adam free.

But Chelsea purposely reinforced a point that she’s been hitting on for months. She got inside Rey’s head when claiming to believe that Adam and Sharon were cavorting on the second floor of the penthouse while she was on the first floor in her wheelchair.
Y&R Spoilers – Rey Rosales Pushed Beyond His Limits
Rey has trust issues. But that outlook wasn’t sparked by Sharon’s actions with Adam in the last six months. Instead, Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) is the genesis of his distrust.
Hardcore fans recall that Ria didn’t work. Mia followed Rey from Miami, Florida, to GC. But that married couple (at the time) didn’t last. Instead, she returned to her true love and Rey’s brother, Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela). Their family, which includes a baby boy, is doing well, with Canela briefly returning to the cast in the recent past.
The marital strife Rey faced drove his uncertainty about making a commitment to Sharon. He finally popped the question, they married a short time ago, and then Adam came between them, again. The infamous Society kiss and Sharon’s willing involvement in Adam’s ongoing dramas led to current, justifiable fallout.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sharon Rosales Is Conflicted
Sharon can’t honestly say that Adam is out of her system. He lives in her heart, seemingly occupying a larger space than Rey does or ever will.
Now, with Rey questioning Sharon about what happened at the penthouse, Chelsea got what she wanted. But if Sharon splits from Rey then she’ll be available. So, is that the true endgame Chelsea was hoping for?
