The Young and the Restless spoilers say that when it comes to someone like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), you almost expect him to remain on top for as long as possible.
After all, he’s the man who basically pulls all the strings in this fictional town of Genoa City.
Tragic Details About Victor Newman And The Young and the Restless
However, it seems like a lot of fans are not really loving the character as much now as they did before and there seems to be a very good reason behind it.
That’s because it seems like Victor is the kind of guy who wants to win at all costs and is never going to admit when he’s wrong, even if he knows it’s the right thing to do.
In fact, during one of the most recent episodes of Y&R, a lot of fans seemed to be disgusted by Victor when he basically told his granddaughter that accountability is not a vocabulary word for the Newman family.
This has prompted a lot of people to wonder: is Victor really a hero on the show? Or is he just another tragic character?
Then again, it’s not like fans haven’t protested Victor and his storylines in the past. Back in 2023, Victor had a dementia storyline. Or at least, that’s what it seemed like at the time.
What’s Next For Victor Newman?
While other soaps such as General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful highlight the importance of making people aware of certain illnesses and social issues and topics, The Young and the Restless is doing the opposite.
Having someone Victor’s age ‘fake’ his illness is not only wrong, but it’s also downright cruel as he is playing yet another game with his children.
Fans can only imagine how Nick and Victoria will feel when they find out that Victor has been fooling them this entire time.
But then again, anything can still happen on a soap like The Young and the Restless. But even with that said, many fans think that having Victor fake an illness that so many people and families deal with on a daily basis is flat out wrong.
Needless to say, fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.
The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on the CBS network. Check your local listings for times.
