Jordi Vilasuso, 42, turned to Instagram to celebrate his “growing family” with his wife Kaitlin, 37. And the Young And The Restless alum’s wife also posted about her pregnancy. Kaitlin gushed that she and her husband “expect a precious addition to our family in January,” according to People.

But her happiness seems mixed with memories of how she previously lost two children. And Kaitlin asked her followers to “join us in praying” for their unborn daughter. She also learned that she needs to undergo a surgical procedure amid her current pregnancy.

“Grateful for your prayers for our growing family, my friends!” wrote Jordi in his social media caption. And he accompanied his words with a family pic showing the actor and his wife. Their two children, Riley Grace, 10, and Everly Maeve, 7, posed with them and held a sonogram of their unborn sibling.

And Jordi, who portrayed Rey Rosales on the Young And The Restless from 2018 to 22, also praised his wife’s honesty. “‘Also, I know this was not easy to put out there my love,” he wrote. “But your openness and call for prayer inspire me and I know will do the same for others! With faith and love!”

And Kaitlin revealed her pregnancy concerns. But she began on a positive note in her Instagram. And she wrote, “Sweet friends! We come to you with big, exciting news and perhaps an even bigger prayer request.” And she revealed that the couple feels “beyond excited to share that we are expecting a precious addition to our family in January!”

However, then Kaitlin revealed that she suffered “two losses” before her current pregnancy. As a result, she views her baby bump as holding “an answer to our prayers and has already filled our hearts with so much hope and joy. But, while she is growing perfectly, we learned last week that my body is struggling to hold her.”

Young And The Restless Alum’s Wife Faces Surgery

As a result, the unborn baby risks “coming far too early,” she said. And Kaitlin revealed that “after many visits with some incredible doctors,” the couple decided to undergo a surgical procedure. But amid the procedure’s risks, the couple stands “in faith that God did not bring us this far -with Riley and Everly feeling her move in my belly night after night- or bring her this far (20 weeks!) for her to not breathe the breath of life and have a long, beautiful one at that.”

What awaits the Young And The Restless alum and his wife? Prayers that Kaitlin will experience a “successful surgery.” And the couple also hopes for “many many more boring weeks of me mostly laying in bed while this baby girl grows stronger and more ready for this world,” she added.

“I know that God knows the desires of our hearts,” shared Kaitlin. And she also believes that God has begun working at “knitting her together in my womb, that she is already fearfully and wonderfully made, that He has a plan for her life. I ask that you’ll join us in praying that that plan is on this side of heaven. We will keep you posted. Thank you for your love always,” Kaitlin’s emotional post concluded.
