The Young And The Restless Spoilers- Alum Thad Luckinbill Bumped Up To Series Regular On “Lioness”
According to Deadline, Luckinbill has moved up to a series regular on the show, Lioness, for Season 2. He plays Kyle, a CIA officer on the series that streams on Paramount+.
The drama centers around a real-life CIA program and highlights Cruz Manuelos (Laysa De Oliveira), a hard-nosed but passionate Marine who was enlisted for a special division of the CIA known as, “Lioness Engagement Team” … no surprise as to why the series is called what it’s called, right?
Y&R Spoilers – Thad Luckinbill’s Entertainment Resume
Thad entered Genoa City in 1999 playing JT Hellstrom and was part of the show’s teen scene. He eventually grew up to become a distinguished PI and security specialist. He also caught the eye of Victoria Newman, played by his then-real-life-wife, actress Amelia Heinle.
The two got married and had a son together, Reed Hellstrom (Tristan Lake Leabu). Things didn’t end up working with Victoria, and he exited the show in 2010, but returned in 2017 for an interesting storyline, eventually leaving once again in 2019.
His 2017 run had him playing a bad guy, who even physically and emotionally abused Vicky, but in true soap opera fashion, it turned out he had a brain tumor causing his evil ways.
In addition to the Y&R, Luckinbill has also starred in a Neflix film, Reptile, where he played a detective who tries to find out who murdered a real estate agent. Thad also produced the movie.
Do you miss Thad on the Y&R? Are you excited about seeing more of Luckinbill on Lioness?
