“I have been honored and blessed with the opportunity to embody such a dynamic character on such a special show. This is the hardest working cast/crew/staff in show business, let me tell you,” Gonzales tweeted.
In the same tweet, the “Paranormal Activity” star also expressed her gratitude to her colleagues on the show. Gonzales also said that she’s going to miss Genoa City, especially Mia Rosales. “A special thank you to Jordi Vilasuso, Jason Canela, Maris Garcia, Kathy Jones and Patricia Denney.”

Young And The Restless News – Gonzalez Grateful She Was A Part Of The Show
“Thank you so very much to Sony Pictures Television and CBS for gracing me with the opportunity to be a part of such an iconic show. Everything I gave was for you and the love of your stories I’m going to miss Mia Rosales and Genoa City. I will be on the air for another month, but I’m off to shake things up elsewhere! Stay tuned for what’s next,” she added.
She also shared on Instagram a photo of herself looking at the mirror, and wrote, “Mia Rosales it’s been a pleasure thankful, blessed, & honored. Gracias a Dios for this life-changing experience.”
Fans are saddened about Gonzales leaving, especially as they have come to love the newcomer on Genoa City. “This sucks. Mia had epic villain potential. Also sorry for any hate you endured while on the show. Your talent was definitely noticed and appreciated by most!” one commented on Twitter.
Young And The Restless News – There Were Rumors She Was Leaving
“Oh no… I am disappointed… You played the hell out of Mia… Or into Mia (ha ha). Best wishes… Certain you are doomed for a bright future in acting,” another fan wrote.
Last month, Gonzalez was rumored to be leaving the show, when she shared a poster of her new Netflix series, “Dark/Web.” But she clarified on an Instagram post the real score between her and Y&R.
“Don’t worry Y&R friends, this doesn’t mean I’m leaving our lovable daytime drama. Just showing some love to the work I did a year ago. If you love Mia just wait till you meet Molly,” she wrote.
Soap Central also reported back then that “Dark/Web,” a drama anthology series, was taped long before Gonzales was chosen to play Mia Rosales.
