The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Who Is Simon Black? Mysterious Man in Genoa City

If Jeffrey looks familiar to daytime television fans, that’s because this is not his first rodeo in the soap world. He previous played both Carlos and his twin Joe on General Hospital between 2013-2016. And now he’s making the switch to Genoa City, much to the delight of his fans.

In fact, the handsome actor tells Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, “I ran into Sara Bibel, one of the writers on the show at a mutual friend’s birthday party. We just got to talking about life in general and work and soaps. She planted the idea; she was like, ‘I think you would be a great addition over there.’ So it, was in my mind. And then this part came up and it seemed really cool. I was free and I thought it would be a really fun project, a really fun character do to on a great show.”

What’s more, Jeffrey says that he responded to the character of Simon as soon as he got the audition script. He also says that right off the bat, his first impression of working with the writers was really great. He added, “I always find when the words just roll off the tongue, I know it’s going to be good and that’s what happened with this one.”
