Young and the Restless News: Camryn Grimes Lands A Primetime Role

“The Young and the Restless’” portrayer of Mariah Copeland, Camryn Grimes, will guest star on the highly-rated primetime series “NCIS.” Although the actress’ role during daytime is as the head of Power Communications in Genoa City, she’ll portray a totally different character on CBS’ hit crime drama series.

Grimes will portray Marine Corporal Laney Alimonte in the show’s episode that’s called “Wide Awake,” which is set to air on Tuesday, October 22 on CBS. Alimonte will be a person of interest in an ongoing murder investigation. All evidence point to her that she killed her neighbor. However, during the incident, she was undergoing treatment for insomnia by a hypnotherapist.

During the episode, the show’s main character, NCIS Special Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) will also get to know his neighbors as their son hits a baseball through his window.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Mariah Copeland Talks To Sharon Newman

Laura San Giacomo of “Sex, Lies, and Videotape” will also guest star as Dr. Grace Confalone. Karissa Vacker, also known as Emily Hudson on “Days of our Lives,” will also appear on the episode as Louisa Banner along with Hope Banks who guest-starred on “The Young and the Restless” last year.

Back to her role as Mariah on “The Young and the Restless,” she will have conversation with her mother Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). Sharon tells her that she’s happy Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) away at boarding school and that the Newman drama was what drove Noah away.

Mariah wants Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon to start over so when Rey enters Crimson Lights, she calls him over. Sharon is shocked when Mariah leaves her with Rey while Rey complained about Adam. Much to Rey’s surprise, Sharon was no longer defending Adam and she also told him she didn’t know where Adam is.

Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) arrives and asks Sharon about Faith, after apologizing. Sharon says he’s a good dad but screwed up after she learned about his involvement in Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) death ruse. Nick leaves and Mariah reappears, furious that he interrupted Sharon and Rey.

After meeting Sharon, Nick goes home and apologizes to Summer Newman (Hunter King). Summer isn’t sure if there’s anything he can do to make up for it. She’s furious that he treated her like a child and an outsider.
