Young and the Restless News: Gordon Thompson Joins Cast – Mystery Man From Chelsea’s Past

The Young and the Restless comings and goings tease that fans will soon be seeing a new face in Genoa City. That’s because actor Gordon Thompson has just booked a new role! He will be playing a character by the name of Daryl Tulane and apparently, he’s got some secrets about Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and her past. Here’s what you need to know.

According to reports, Daryl is yet another man from Chelsea’s past who has decides to show up – both unexpectedly and unannounced – to Genoa City. He’s got some things to say and it might impact Chelsea’ future in more ways than one. Of course, Daryl isn’t the only person that has Chelsea’s number. Her husband Calvin Boudreau will also be appearing beginning the Tuesday, July 3 episode.

With everything that is going on between Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and their upcoming custody battle for little Christian, Chelsea will be forced to pick sides between the Newman brothers. So far Melissa has told Adam that she’s sorry for all of the pain that she’s caused him in the past and as you’d expect, she also said the same thing to Nick, too.

However, The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Chelsea will be forced to choose sides and from what we can tell so far, she will end up being on Team Nick. Needless to say, this won’t sit very well with Adam!

Many fans might recognize Gordon as this isn’t the first time that he has been on The Young and the Restless. He’s had a previous role playing an attorney who assisted Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) during a custody case. In addition to his work on The Young and the Restless he also played Adam Carrington on Dynasty back in the 1980s and also played Mason Capwell on Santa Barbara.
