Young and the Restless News: Jessica Collins Returns To TV!

Jackie Denardo (Jessica Collins)

A lot of viewers got excited when Jessica Collins teased that she’s returning to one of her favorite roles. Some of them thought she’d go back to portraying Avery Bailey Clark on “The Young and the Restless.” However, that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

Although she won’t be seen on screen as Avery, she’s going back as Jackie Denardo on Sunny FXX’s “Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”

In an Instagram post, she said, “So much fun at the premiere of @alwayssunnyfxx last night!!! So darn grateful to be a small part of season FOURTEEN! Love this cast and crew so much, love reprising my girl…#JackieDenardo.”

Jessica Collin’s Career

Collins appeared in “Loving” as Dinah Lee Mayberry from 1991 to 1994. She appeared in various movies including “Leprechaun 4: In Space” in 1996, “Best of the Best: Without Warning” in 1998, and “Beautiful” in 2000.

She appeared in various primetime shows including “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” “Star Trek: Voyager,” “Beverly Hills 90210,” and “Dawson’s Creek.”

Between 2003 and 2004, Collins appeared as Meredith Davis on “Tru Calling” and then landed a recurring role on “American Dreams.” She also appeared on “Big Shots,” “Ritual,” “Catch Me If You Can,” “Dirty Love,” “Live!,” and “Open House.”

Collins took the role as Avery on CBS’s “The Young and the Restless” in 2011. She did an impeccable job taking on that role and got nominated for Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series from 2013 to 2016. She finally bagged the trophy in 2016.

The show has a lot of fine actors fans would love to see again. However first the writers should concentrate on improving the quality of stories for the existing cast. Trying to sidetrack us with constantly returning actors isn’t good enough.

How about clearing up one one story before getting two or three others stated and losing us along the way.
