Young and the Restless News: Jessica Collins Talks Avery’s Return – Reveals Why She Isn’t Back On Y&R

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) alum Jessica Collins reveals that she has a part in Dolly Parton’s new series, Heartsprings. She also dished on if she would return to Y&R and what is keeping her busy nowadays. Here’s what she had to say below.

Jessica said that when she had her daughter in 2016, it was an easy choice, she wanted to stay at home with her daughter. So, since she has been working since she was 17, she decided to take a break.

Even though she knew to stay home with her daughter was the right choice, it still was hard to leave her co-star behind. They had become family to her. The soap opera changed her life, and the memories she created are very important to her.

Y&R is special because she feels so connected to her character, Avery Bailey Clark. It is the role she played the longest and she feels like she was recognized for her mark on the soap when she won her Emmy award.

When she isn’t acting, Jessica loves spending time with her daughter, who is almost 3 years old. She says her daughter Jemma is a strong-willed and independent little girl and she couldn’t be more proud to be her mother.

Family is very important to her, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to learn that her co-stars are also very important to her. She regularly has several of them over for dinner and has playdates with them.

Will She Return To Y&R?

Jessica admits that the show has called her several times for a return but the scheduling is always off. She would love to return for a brief stint, and she is open to it, as long as it works with whatever project she is working with at the time.

As she mentioned before, she has a soft spot for Avery, and would love to return to work with Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Abbott).
