For starters, Rowell will be hosting the new home improvement series, Trash vs Treasure. According to People, the show will stream on the Urban Movie Channel with Rowell the host. She will travel out and about in Los Angeles and Kingston, Jamaica with the aim of helping worthy families who are in sore need of home repairs.
As such Rowell meets up with families who have experienced rough times and will help them to renovate their domiciles in a bargain-busting way.
Rowell told People, “I am honored to be able to help these beautiful families with big hearts, who all welcomed me into their homes. Everyone deserves beauty and to live in a home filled with purpose. With a little bit of elbow grease, discovering hidden treasures, creativity, and a whole lot of love.”
You can catch Trash vs Treasure beginning July 16 on UMC, which is where you can also see her in the series, The Rich and the Ruthless.

In addition to Trash vs Treasure, Rowell has a contract with BET for two exciting brand new projects according to Deadline. The lovely and talented actress will star in one short film and plans to direct another short film. She is reported to be working with Sheryl Lee Ralph (ex-Laura MacCarthy, Search for Tomorrow) as well as Kim Fields and Vanessa Bell Calloway.

According to Deadline, Rowell, and comic actress Jasmine Luv in will star in the short, Like, Comment, Subscribe, written by Shateka Johnson. The movie follows a wedding vlogger as she herself walks down the aisle while battling breast cancer.
Rowell will direct Everything is Fine, a movie written by Dez White. The movie stars Malachi Malik, Vernon Davis, and Charming Lee. The movie features a wealthy and successful Black family who is struggling to deal with an estranged son, who tells his sister what he is really going through. You can see the movie on BET Her Networks on July 25.
