Alyvia Alyn Lind’s New Role
Netflix announced they cast Young and the Restless star Lind as the lead in the post-apocalyptic dramedy, “Daybreak.” The show will feature a cast of misfits fighting in a world of zombies and gangs. Lind will play Angelica, a 12-year-old pyromaniac. Matthew Broderick was a cast as a lead in the series and he will play a school principal.
“I’m so excited to announce that I will be a part of this amazing show with an amazing cast and crew,” Alyvia wrote on Instagram.

Lind’s status on Young and the Restless has always been recurring so far there has been a decision to recast the role. Faith tends to pop in and out of the show. Her presence is not needed every day, so it is likely the Young and the Restless writers have a game plan on how to work around her taping schedule.
Many Y&R fans would like it if they would recast the role. Based on the other children on the show, Faith should be older. She should be, at the very least, in high school. However, she is still a young child on the soapy drama.
As of now, CBS will not recast the role. She will continue to play Faith and the series will work around her schedule. Soap fans, are you happy Faith will be staying on Y&R, at least for now?

Let face it the actress who play Faith Newman isn’t in every episode Monday -Friday. She is able to play both role. Y/R is thinking twice before hire another actress to play Faiths because the current Faith got too many fan that love the current Faith. It is also interested why Faith didn’t become another teenager like the current Summer Newman is .
Faith needs to be older to fit with the other kids. She’s hardly ever on anyway. You only keep her because she does movies and you think you can draw the younger set (who are in school anyway)
I’m glad they aren’t recasting Faith. I really enjoy the current actress that is playing her!
Wasn’t Faith born before Cane and Lily’s twins? She should be aged up to their age at least….And it cracks me up that Victoria’s daughter is bigger than her older brother. Her son hasn’t changed at all but the newborn is bigger than him…….hmmm…..come on Y&R, let’s straighten out the kid’s ages and make them appropriate size for their actual soap ages.
