The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Y&R’s pairing of two super villains is delicious for all fans of daytime drama. The mere thought of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) teaming up has already sent shock waves throughout Genoa City, Wisconsin. The furthering of their selfish goals supercharged by their unholy, albeit platonic pairing.
Taking this duo past a business alliance would seem a soapy bridge too far, which is why Adam and Phyllis are just new friends. They share a number of created and perceived enemies, which allows one to play off the other’s jab list.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam And Phyllis Have Common Enemies
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) believed that his brother was not returning from jail for many years. So he kindly agreed to look out for Connor Newman (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). Nick not only did that, but continued to raise Adam’s other son, Christian Newman (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen), all the while thinking he was the child that was had with Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan).
Adam’s subsequent planned escape and as yet fully unexplained survival of the cabin blast, now makes him a threat to both Nick and Chelsea Boudreau’s (Melissa Claire Egan) parental security. Phyllis plays into this double crisis simply by being around.
Take her questioning of the circumstances surrounding Calvin Boudreau’s (John Burke) sudden death. At such an unexpected moment, Chelsea doesn’t need anyone to stir Adam up any further. But that’s what Phyllis is doing.

Chelsea and Nick, potentially on the way to reforming as Chick, don’t know that a pressured Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) is the person who tipped Adam off to the emergency medical technicians being called to the Boudreau’s sweet at the GC Athletic Club. Instead, it appeared as though Adam happened to be with Phyllis, who is currently living in that setting.
Phyllis’ angle, in hanging around Adam, isn’t what it seems to be. Outside observers believe that she’s down and out, having once again alienated family members and friends.
In reality Phyllis learned something very significant when she was sleuthing Adam in Las Vegas, Nevada. The connection he formed with Chance Chancellor (John Driscoll) is somehow connected to whatever selfish goals Adam is furthering.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam And Phyllis Work Together
As a trade-off for her silence, Adam is allowing Phyllis to run Dark Horse. Doing so also throws Nick off, which should help with the coming Christian custody battle.
Regarding Red’s self-aggrandizement, her aim is to reestablish power. Kicked out of Nick’s, Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson), and Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) life, Phyllis needs to work her way back without access to past power sources. Adam serves as the means to her end goal.

I think Phyllis is backstabbing him behind his back and he should have listened to Victoria
when she told him what Phyllis was up too? so he should give let her go from that job
sure she has something on him concerning Chance he helped in Las Vegas, he didn’t want
that secret to come out and why? cause Chance is in a ‘Witness Protection’
Match made in hell, but no, she is way too old for Adam and so is Sharon, why why are these writers still trying to hook these women up with much younger men. They should be with me their own age, especially Phyllis.
Only as friends. Just platonic . Anything more would ruin it .

I think they’re perfect foils for each other! They’re both full of themselves, they both feel very entitled, they both like playing the victim at times, and they both take scheming to a whole other level… If they can not just hurt others, then this pairing could actually be really fun in a slightly diabolical way…
I hope not Adam is being difficult and really being horrible to everyone I know he wants his kiddies back and I feel sad for him, but he is going the wrong way about getting one of them back ! Phylis is not very helpful and I don’t trust her at all so the two of them together would be a disaster in my mind.
Those 2 are the bottom of the ”rotten” barrel !! A match made in hell , not enough hours in the day left they put so much time in being horrible and conniving who’s got time to love anyone ??
