Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam Quickly Agrees To Sharon’s Request – Scheme Set In Motion

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) makes unusually quick progress on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Generally, within the soap world, a plot point will be stretched for many weeks, or months, before a decision is made. So why is Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) agreeing to return to Genoa City so quickly?

Knowing Adam, in all his versions, dedicated Y&R viewers are logically suspicious. He must not have lost his memory and is simply fronting amnesia as part of a bigger plan. Yes, that has to be the storyline.

If the above is true, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has been fully fooled. So, it could be that Adam is attempting to exact revenge against Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), who caused the cabin blast. Adam seemingly doesn’t know that she’s believed to be dead. As Victor and the fans know, she was actually last thought to be living with Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and their daughter, Bella Mitchell (Cali May Kinder), on the left coast.

It’s also possible that Adam’s mind is somewhat, but not completely, scrambled and he’s come to believe that his family was working with Chloe to kill him, or that Adam learned Victor helped Chloe fake her death. That would make Victor’s apparent find of Adam the hook, meaning that Adam wanted to be found so he could put his counter attack into motion.

But what if Adam truly has amnesia? That’s hardly a stretch to believe based upon the incredible event this man, who last looked like Justin Hartley (adult Adam number three) in September 2016, lived through.

With however he escaped, was aided in escaping, or was rescued from the woodsy boom, Adam must have suffered a massive concussion, or some other traumatic physical event. Any human being would naturally be impacted and, depending upon the individual, would be affected differently.

The ‘Spider’ nickname could really be what Adam has been going by, with Riza Thomas (Tina Casciani) partnering with him at some point. Las Vegas, Nevada, has been his home for awhile and Victor’s contact with him began to jog his memory.

The request to use Sharon as a way to unlock Adam’s memory is working. Along with that this recovering Adam is purely seeking answers about his life.
