Young and the Restless Spoilers: Amanda Moves On With Nate – Not Interested In Billy Abbott’s Drama?

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is attempting to move past the attraction Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) offered. While Y&R has teased them as a potential couple, logic dictates that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is the more balanced individual and therefore better choice for Amanda.

There’s no denying Billy’s charm. So, it’s too soon to tell if Amanda will, in fact, begin a relationship with Nate, or revisit the start of the relationship she was forming with Billy.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nate Hastings Needs More Than Work

Being a doctor is a critically important position to hold. Nate’s place among Genoa City Memorial Hospital’s staff is vital, as his most recent efforts in saving Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) life affirmed.

But people who pursue full lives generally need more than work to sustain them. When possible and with the right person, a romantic relationship allows life to be elevated to a higher level.

Amanda, like Nate, is an accomplished professional. She’s also warm-hearted and gorgeous.

The referenced traits make Amanda someone who any available guy would want to explore life with. Nate has expressed interest and just recently realized the first date. So, Amanda is plausible.

Y&R Spoilers – Billy Abbott Means Well

Billy and Amanda bonded because they were each going through a rough period in their lives. The difference was that Billy created the bulk of his problems through his own free will options, whereas Amanda was not responsible for the issues that were pushed into her life.

Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes) rejected Amanda’s decision to end their relationship in Madison, Wisconsin. He later followed her to GC, broke into her suite at the Grand Phoenix Hotel, was given a second chance by Amanda after being arrested for violating a protective order, and then stabbed Vickie, who he thought was Amanda, at Newman Enterprises’ Fiftieth Anniversary celebration.

Amanda’s attempt to start fresh was temporarily derailed by Ripley. She appreciated Billy’s support during that time. While Thompson’s character is not like Ripley, he has his own stability issues. Amanda is understandably resistant to invest in Billy as a result.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Amanda Sinclair Pursuing Different Courses

Moving to a new town is hard. Establishing personal and professional ties takes time. Looking like Hilary Hamilton (Morgan’s initial role on Y&R) made both efforts extremely challenging after Amanda first arrived in town.

With Colin Atkinson’s (Tristan Rogers) scam fully revealed, Amanda’s professional backstory was cleared. Now that Ripley’s role in her life is known and has been handled, Amanda’s personal future appears clear for takeoff.

She’s indicated a desire to pursue a professional path other than the law and is open to exploring personal possibilities with Nate. That seems to leave Billy out, which may enable Thompson’s character to be written toward Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). But Billy and Amanda’s initial connection could reasonably revive at any plot point.
